We stopped by Verizon Center during our visit to Washington, D.C. We had a look around and visited the souvenir shop, although we didn't attend a game this time. The arena has a great location and definitely made us want to come back. Next time, I'd love to return for an NBA game and experience the atmosphere during a live match!

It's decent . The are very strict with their bag policy. However you can rent a locker for $20, but sometimes they run out.

Inside the ticketmaster are kind and helpful.
Food options are meh and expensive. My suggestion is eat before or after.

My gripe is that I've been here for a lot of concerts and the sound quality is awful. Too loud and staticity.
Restrooms are clean.

Im glad it is very close to metro.

We saw Florence and the Machine here a few days ago and it was amazing! We weren’t on the floor (which—bad knees so that was fine with me) and we have a clear view of everything. The sound was loud and clear and the giant TVs provided great views. The bathrooms were clean (though the one we were closest too was a men’s restroom that was converted into a women’s restroom which was kinda funny) and the AC was blasting on high.

Went to see Harlem Globetrotters.
Area itself is pretty nice, with good location in the city.
However, everything is a money grab. Parking prices skyrocket during event days, charge you $12 for locker for your items among other things.
Event staff inside are lazy. There are far too many staff just standing around when there becomes a bottleneck and could have easily opened an unused check-in kiosk…which should speed up the process but quite frankly it doesn’t.

As for the show, the PA announcers voice just blended in with the music so much that it was difficult to make out what he was saying. There wasn’t any kind of halftime show. Just dead time where they encouraged you to “go buy items from the concessions”. Globie mascot was there but didn’t do anything. However DJ J Rich was awesome. Beautiful, energetic and very engaging with the crowd.

I love this arena. It’s located just on the Gallery Place/Chinatown Metro stop. The metro makes it super convenient to access this venue. It’s smoke free and has ample restaurants and bars nearby to pregame before your event. I recently attended a Matt Rife comedy show, which was utterly amazing and sold out! This arena is easy to get in and out of. Come here all the time and have never had a bad experience.
