Advertised as helping with taxes and retirement. She made me feel “unworthy” within 20 minutes. I am not a “high wealth corporation”. Im a single mother near retirement, that raised two daughters and started with nothing in 2013 after an abusive money controlling marriage. I have savings, sold a home, investments close to 400k diversified and a college loan. Instead of offering positive advice, especially ideas for savings on taxes when I retire, she deemed me “unworthy”, told me “my time was up and to get a bankruptsy”!!!! I have a credit score over 800 and no other debt.
She could have at the very least talked to me about tax shelters or IRAs…Do not waste your time with this outfit even if you are a millionaire.

Lies, lies and more lies. So shady and unprofessional. Highly recommend Kelly at Thornton Liberty Tax, she dug me out of the hole Canty's put me in. Had been a client for ten years and she decided she didn't want to do tax services for people besides corporate businesses and a few SELECTED clients. Not only was she dishonest about not doing tax prep at all anymore but I was never notified of this change and now am left high and dry this tax season on 3/26. Not only that but they are unwilling to refer me somewhere and are unwilling to file an extension on my behalf, telling me that she would "have to basically do the whole return to file an extension." I found this to be a lie when I filed with Liberty tax and they are doing an extension based solely off of a client intake form. Very unprofessional and to be honest rude and shady.
