We were in Austin for the weekend and heard the HEB Texas bbq matches any of the other top notch Texas bbq joints around. I can 100% confirm. The fatty briskets are a must. The sides are fantastic. HEB Texas wins my favor over other bbq spots around since the wait is short and the customer service was the best we got all weekend. Marty and Cole really went out of their way to welcome us in and guide us through the menu. Would absolutely come back!

The burnt ends were 85%l fat. The brisket beans had zero brisket, tasted as simple canned beans heated. The Korean BBQ ribs were very mediocre, zero falling off the bone, could not decide if overcooked or just done too fast. The brisket we ordered was good though. Employees do not like working here, it's reflective on the service and food. The UTSA location is 5 stars.

Was hoping for a beef rib, but house are only Fridays I guess. Got the pork ribs and cheddar jalapeño sausage. Ribs were good, sausage was really good. The unexpected star of the meal were the chili crisp green beans. I may go back just for a plate of those.
Better than expected for a BBQ place inside a grocery store.

First time getting food from TTBBQ. The service is good and people work there are friendly. However the food is just OK unlike the other bbq places. Maybe I did not order the right things and signatures they have.
The soup was very salty and and the pull brisket was too sweet and too salty. The sausage was not bad.
I don't think I'd go back there again.

Although this place gets high reviews, I was a surprised. Incredibly good, and very unexpected for a chain that’s inside of a grocery store (HEB). (Blasphemy, I know) I’m no BBQ connoisseur, but this was some of the best BBQ I’ve had. I ordered a combo platter. Fatty Brisket - juicy and just the right amount of salt. Ribs - Meaty, sweet and crispy glaze, cooked just right that almost fell off the bone. Sausages - flavorful with a little spice. Beans - Not your traditional bbq molasses beans. These are like a mix of liquified refried and whole beans with bits of pork. Super yummy. Coleslaw- Sunflower seeds and cranberries (this was a first attempt a BBQ restaurant), and cabbage with a mild neutral sauce. Good, but missing something. I’d highly recommend. Very fast and courteous service. Atmosphere is typical of any bbq restaurant.
