Booked this based on advertisements showing four star ratings . So to good points - great setting - superb view . Good potential- main building with multiple rooms and numerous cabins … then reality : our king suite was a dump !!!! Wooden floors were buckled and uneven - usually the result of water flooding of some kind - which leads to mold beneath - the coughing began during our first night .
The furniture and bedding could have been from Goodwill . Bathroom in need of gut renovation. No coffee maker in room … no robes , no complementary water ( but available for purchase in registration area for four bucks per small bottle ) , lousy lighting …
All in all a true dump … and of course because it’s the season , no other accommodations available elsewhere .
Complaints fell on deaf ears … manager offered one night’s refund on a three night stay … we were stuck … thanks Bluebird Ocean Point Inn ….

We loved this hotel! It was beyond charming and calm. We got a little cottage towards the rear of the property. The room was a decent size for the two of us. Parking was easy and you can't beat the views out front. We loved peaceful sunset and breakfast in the Adirondack chairs. Very charming town and surrounding area. We already can't wait to come back!

This Inn by the sea offers the best of Maine's coast! The location gets way more than 5 stars, in my opinion. This was our 2nd visit to the Ocean Point Inn and it was as lovely as our first visit. We were very fortunate to have wonderful weather for our visit with blue skies and warm temperatures. We were here to gather with friends who happen to live across the street from the Inn. You can't get any better than that! The food and drinks at Ocean Point Kitchen are wonderful and delicious and obviously convenient! We have been very pleased with this restaurant during both visits.
We have to send a very special shout out to the Inn's manager Jim who offered us customer service that went above and beyond - An upgraded room and giving us our AAA discount, even though we did not have our card with us! After we paid our bill and checked out, he was generous to send us off with a piece of their delicious Key Lime Pie, that we did not get to taste the evening before. Thank you Jim for your over the top service! Much appreciated!
We will return for many years...of course!

This is a perfect location for a fun and relaxing vacation in the Boothbay region. It is away from the crowds but just a short drive to all activities. The location right on the water is spectacular. The on-site restaurant is warm and comfortable, and the food is outstanding. You must try the French toast! And don't forget the pool - warm salt water. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Our only regret was that we did not book a longer stay - so we will definitely be back.

The excellent location was only surpassed by the superb five star food at Ocean Point Kitchen. Best scallop dinner I ever had. Key Lime Pie was never my wife’s favorite until she tried it there…strongly recommend!!! The only thing that rivaled our meals was the absolute perfect customer service by the property manager, Jim Bjourman, and his fantastic staff. I am running out of superlatives to properly describe how they treated us. My wife, pup and I definitely will go back!
