Ocean 48 is definitely a very popular restaurant! We couldn’t get a reservation for a regular dinner time, so we ended up booking 4:00 PM instead. It turned out to be a great decision because we were seated in a comfortable private dining room, which had a nice view overlooking the restaurant. It was cozy and felt very special.

The complimentary bread was absolutely delicious, honestly, I could have eaten way too much of it! 😂🥖

For appetizers, we followed our server’s recommendations and ordered the Sautéed Shrimp and Wood-Roasted Octopus. Both were outstanding! The flavors were incredible, and the octopus was especially memorable.

For the main course, we ordered the Bone-In 22 oz Ribeye along with the Crab & Shrimp Shells & Cheese. The ribeye was rich, flavorful, and cooked beautifully, while the crab and shrimp shells & cheese was creamy and indulgent, a perfect side for the steak. 🥩🦐🦀

We finished with the Chocolate Mousse Cake, which was a delicious way to end the meal. 🍫🍰

Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience. Great food, beautiful atmosphere, and excellent service. I can definitely understand why this restaurant is so popular, even having dinner at 4 PM was totally worth it!

Would definitely come back and try more dishes next time. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I visited Ocean 48 at Fashion Island for the first time and overall it was a great experience. The atmosphere, the vibe & the service were all very good & top notch. Our server Adriana was attentive, professional, and the staff handled everything politely throughout the night & even after closing. We started with the 1942 Lemon Drop which i highly recommend.. The restaurant definitely has a great ambiance and offers more than just a steakhouse experience.

Here for an Anniversary dinner. Wow. Ordered:

•pomegranate blood orange martini
•caesar salad
•petite filet mignon
•chilean sea bass
•corn(!) creme brulee
•truffle fries

Went with beignet tree for dessert.

All delicious - the fresh baked hand rolls to start also were addicting. Highlights were the entrees (sea bass was huge), and the corn!

Excellent service by Tiffanie (and the entire staff), and we were seated right next to the pool. Amazing.

Great place for special occasions and more. Highly recommend reservations - we came early (4:15pm) because that’s what was available…it was actually really nice to be seated before the place got super busy. Enjoy!

I would have given Ocean 48 a perfect 5-star rating if we had been seated at one of the beautiful poolside tables from the start instead of having to ask to be moved. We were initially placed at an awkward table tucked away from the rest of the dining room, which was disappointing since this was a very special celebration for my nephew, who had just officially become a doctor. I wanted the evening to feel as memorable as the occasion.

Thankfully, the staff was accommodating and moved us to a lovely table by the pool, which completely changed the atmosphere. From there, the experience became much more enjoyable. The service also seemed to improve, especially after we ordered the Wagyu Tomahawk - the most expensive steak on the menu - along with several other dishes to celebrate.

The oyster and shrimp appetizer was good but didn't particularly stand out. The Wagyu Tomahawk, however, was absolutely outstanding and the highlight of the meal. My nephews loved it! The side dishes were decent, although we've had better at other high-end steakhouses.

A thoughtful touch was the complimentary dessert they brought out to congratulate my nephew on becoming a doctor. It made the celebration even more special.

Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would recommend Ocean 48 for special occasions. The food and drinks are definitely on the expensive side, but it's a beautiful place to splurge when celebrating life's biggest milestones.

My firm came to Ocean 48 for a planned lunch for 20. It did not disappoint. We've been to Maestros Ocean Club, Ruth's Chris, Eddie Vs, others that I just can't remember the name of because there was no comparison. Everything set in front of us was excellent, from the lobster roll to start to the peanut butter pie at the finish. I had the 12oz filet, literally cooked to perfection. Sides were shells, corn creme brulee, potato au graitin, and mushrooms. Everything was INCREDIBLE. We can't wait to come back. Also their service 10/10. Thank you for an amazing time Ocean 48. Also shout out to Tabitha who provided wonderful service and anticipated our every need so impressively.
