I called the office for just some general information. I will say Maureen was very nice and professional and this is why I gave the 2 stars because if it wasn’t for her it would just be 0. When Dacia got on the phone, I don’t know if my questions offended her or if our paths crossed in a previous lifetime but she was just so rude and full of attitude. For someone who has been with your company since 2005 I would assume that customer service would be in her back pocket to pull on at any given moment but that exchange we had she made it seem as if I was asking her a Monday question on a Thursday. If she is the face of the company when customers call with an issue that Maureen can’t solve then…..

Using a Universal Design approach the remodeled bathrooms are not only safe and accessible they are stunningly beautiful.

We believed ourselves to be fairly seasoned in the remodeling game by the time we decided to remodel our home in Harwichport in 2016, having already endured 3 major remodels of our Dallas homes between 1989 and 2015. The tricky part was going to be doing it long distance as we had been very hands on for the previous ones in Dallas where we lived year round. This was going to become our new year round home within 5 years and we would be incorporating all the best of our latest projects. The second added challenge was that the house was originally an historic 1828 cape codder that had 2 additions added in the 1950’s and again in the 1970’s. The goal was to remove the 1950’s addition in the middle and replace with a modern kitchen, dining space and family room and seamlessly reunite it with “ the museum” and “the annex “ which included the master suite and guest suite.
Over a 2 yr.planning time, we had more than a dozen conversations with people who had endured remodels and their various contractors. We finally narrowed the search to 5 prospective candidates, including George Davis,Inc.as a late addition recommended by our local architect as she had heard good things about him. By the time we came to a final decision we had several meetings and quotes with all 5 and at the end of the day felt the best choice for our project was going to be the last one entering the race. This would be the best decision we ever made in our history of remodels and can readily say it was the most seamless, well planned execution that we had ever experienced, and it was the only remodel we ever did that came in on time and on budget..... didn’t think that was even possible. George has an incredible, professional and talented team and the communication is amazing. We never imagined that a complicated remodel such as this one could be so pain free and so perfect from 1800 miles away. We worked with George Davis Builders in 2019 on a large basement renovation project and they were very professional from start to finish. To begin, George worked with us through several iterations during the design phase to optimize the utility/aesthetic of the space. We then received a thorough line-by-line quote of the work to be completed with detailed specifications. We had a very aggressive schedule to complete the work over 3-4 months, and they met our timeline and were largely completed by Memorial Day. Two other things to note: 1) GD's subs were very professional across HVAC, painting, electrical, plumbing, tiling, etc.; 2) There were a few minor design changes along the way, and GD did not take the opportunity to nickel and dime us with extra charges as we have seen with other contractors. All in all, it was a great experience and we love the new space in our Chatham home. - Peter and Susan

I used the services of George Davis builders for a complete renovation of my parents home in the 2019 that was needed because of winter water damage.

So in addition to the normal challenges of a home renovation I needed to manage this on behalf of my parents completely remotely — and the whole process could not have been more seamless and resulted in a great outcome.

The George Davis team — from the office to the onsite managers —were professional and always helpful to me and my family from the very start through to final punch list and “move back in” day.

I got terrific advice on things like tile selection from the in house design staff member. (Complete with photo exchanges when needed) . All the phases of the project were managed on time, and the quality of the workmanship was excellent. My parents were able to return in the summer and move back in— which would have been hard to believe was possible in February when we started. Thank you George Davis and team !

In November of 2019 George Davis Builders did a complete renovation of my bathroom. Every aspect of the project was exemplary. Every step was on schedule, communication was good, and every effort was made to accommodate me during a period of disruption in the house. All staff, including contractors, were professional and a pleasure to work with. I am very happy with the outcome and very satisfied with every aspect of working with the George Davis organization.
