Very knowledgeable Physical Therapists in a comfortable atmosphere. Alana is wonderful and very experienced. She has already pointed out several areas of concern and showed me how to fix things like uneven posture. I also know now why certain pain is emerging and how to fix the issue by taking the pressure off of that particular muscle by correcting the weight distribution evenly instead of favoring one side over the other.
Not only has she taught me correct posture, but she has also educated me in understanding how my muscles, blood flow and spine work!

This last year has had me in PT for a lot of weeks and at more than one place. Right now, I am getting PT at home for a hip replacement that was 13 days ago, and I am learning that mostly, my VNA therapist sees people who are not happy to see her even though she’s the key to their recovery. I am thrilled to see her, and she told me I am doing great - that’s because I had “prehab” with Jake at Maritime here in Manomet, which gave me the confidence and ability to own my recovery with the best possible attitude. Will I dread the 50 pound deadlifts I know he will make me do in a couple of weeks or a month after I go back to him? Yup! But we will do it together with humor and the atmosphere at Maritime, which is actually a place with people I look forward to being with.

Maritime PT, specifically Jake Rowland, met all my therapeutic needs in a friendly but challenging atmosphere.
The sessions were focused and were progressively more challenging as we went on. Jake is a personable person who adapts the sessions, if needed, depending on how the muscles were feeling from previous sessions.
The staff was friendly and welcoming, the space can be a little tight at times, but overall my experience was very positive and successful.
I would highly recommend Maritime PT to anyone with orthopedic injuries or recovering from a surgery as was my situation. They will take good care of you until your recovery!

My experience was very positive. Jake was very focused on developing a treatment plan for my lower back, that addressed my PT needs both at the clinic and home. The results were fantastic! The original pain is almost completely gone. Given my experience I strongly recommend MPT as an option for your PT needs!

I cannot recommend Maritime Physical Therapy enough. I worked with Michael Brown for 6 weeks for a likely permanent ankle injury. Michael helped me understand both my injury and the purpose of each of the exercises he slowly added. A podiatrist I had seen had wanted to put me in an ankle boot for the rest of my life, but after 6 weeks I left Maritime with much more flexibility and the tools I need to manage my ankle. All of the people at Maritime are warm, friendly and clearly love what they do, creating a very positive environment.

Other than a poor experience on the first day, which I have already communicated to you, I have an extremely positive experience. Jake Rowland is by far the best physical therapist that I have ever worked with, and I have seen many. His knowledge and talents are at the top of his game. And most importantly, Jake is so personable, always approaching his clients in a very pleasant, positive way. While demonstrating new exercises, he is very thorough, supplies the appropriate amount of information, and is very quick to also offer constructive criticism, as well as positive reinforcement when an exercise has gone well.

I will definitely recommend Jake to my family and friends, and wish him all the success that will surely come his way.

The other physical therapists also seem very friendly, personable, and very talented.

I had a pretty severe case of sciatica where it caused me great pain to tie my shoes. After a month and a half of therapy with Alanna I am pain free.
She was very thorough with asking questions and prescribing the appropriate treatment to be able to be pain free.
Upon completing the therapy she compiled a program of exercises for me to do at home.

Maritime PT is truly one of a kind!

When I first entered I thought there was NO WAY I could be close to pain free after my injury. Michael proved me wrong. I am 41, and had an injury that had an option of surgical repair or PT. I wanted nothing to do with surgery so I went through the PT program and utilized the dry needling services. It was the best thing I could have ever done! Michael off the bat, could tell I was anxious and nervous because it was either this or surgery. Surgery was the last thing I wanted. I am pretty sure I reminded him at every visit regarding my anxiety! The staff was professional and they all added humor and laughter during the process. I very much appreciated the active listening skills Michael had as he would answer my repetitive questions without frustration. His counterparts would jump in and assist me if I had questions and Michael was not available. The dry needling was amazing! I felt good about the plans that were put in place after every session. I learned safe and effective ways to strengthen the weak areas as well as how to maintain strength. He also worked carefully around other weak areas of my body and would always ask how I was doing after each exercise. I had been to other facilities prior and none of them met my expectations for professionalism, honesty, communication, and cleanliness. I appreciated how he would wipe items down in between! Today, after only 8 weeks, I am nearly pain free, slowly returning my normal exercise routine, and walking away with confidence in doing the exercises. I would recommend Maritime PT to anyone looking for success!

Dr. Michael is incredibly professional and truly life changing. After a double spiral fracture in my humerus and then frozen shoulder, I graduated from PT today. I struggled with horrible pain in my right shoulder from a torn tendon. I had trouble lifting my arm without pain. My orthopedic doctor recommended PT to see if I could strengthen the other tendons around my right shoulder and possibly avoid surgery. I noticed that Maritime Physical Therapy had opened up where my Santander bank used to be. It was close to my home so I tried it. What a blessing! Michael listened carefully and put in a routine that I could handle. After a couple of weeks, the pain started to lessen. My shoulder started feeling stronger and stronger.
I thank Michael and his staff for the positive encouragement throughout the process. It worked!

I had an excellent experience at Maritime PT from the incredible facility to the professional care Michael provided.
If you haven’t heard of dry needling, I highly recommend doing some research on it and then scheduling an appointment with Michael to talk more about it. He has helped me deal with some back and shoulder pain that I have been dealing with for years. After a couple sessions and some extremely useful exercises that could be completed at home or a gym, I can truly say I’ve had outstanding improvement. Pain has been reduced, mobility restored in my back and shoulder, and an increased energy to complete simple tasks that would previously cause nagging strains.
