Tunnel does a great job however I prefer the self wash because I have a ceramic coating on my vehicles. If they need a detail then I send them to proper detailing. But for a quick wash, this place does great job. Especially with the half price evenings.
Staff is always helpful too, be nice they are people too. I see it too often that something happens and the customer gets upset with the staff. It’s not their fault and they always help, especially if you approach them properly.

Today at 9.15am. I would give 0 stars if I could.
This was the third time I drove to Suds only to leave without getting my car washed because their app and payment system would not work. I have $39 sitting in my account that I cannot use because their scanner keeps giving errors.
The employee's solution was for me to pay again out of pocket. Why would I pay twice for the same service because your system is broken? Instead of taking ownership, he blamed Samsung phones and the app, even though he admitted this is something they've seen before.
This isn't a one-time issue. I've already reported it, filled out their forms, and left my phone number after previous visits. Nobody ever called, and nothing was fixed. Today I was asked to fill out yet another form.
My time is valuable. I shouldn't have to drive to the location, stand at a machine that doesn't work, and leave without a car wash because Suds can't maintain its own payment system.
If your app and digital payment system are unreliable, don't offer them. At this point I'm asking for my money back so I can take my business elsewhere.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Suds until they fix their app, payment system, and customer service.

would strongly recommend avoiding Suds Car Wash.
I was charged $62 for a membership I wasn’t using. I was never made aware that it was a recurring subscription and believed I was signing up for a one-month service. I have since moved and no longer use this location. The same thing happened when I signed up at a Toronto location, and they refunded me immediately without any issues. This location refused to do the same.
As soon as I received the email saying I had been charged, I called right away. The representative I spoke with was rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to help. He told me to call back when a manager was available instead of trying to resolve the issue. I also sent an email and still received no meaningful assistance. The lack of professionalism, empathy, and customer service was unbelievable.
What makes this even more frustrating is that they can clearly see I haven’t been using the membership. It was the very first day of the new billing period, I contacted them immediately, and they still refused to issue a refund. In my opinion, charging a customer for a service they don’t use and refusing to correct it despite immediate notice is unacceptable.
On top of that, I was never impressed with the car wash itself. It left scratches on my vehicle and even damaged the paint.
Between the poor quality, misleading membership experience, and some of the worst customer service I’ve ever received, I cannot recommend Suds Car Wash. There are far better businesses that actually value their customers.

Suds isn’t what they used to be. I come to this place 2-3 times a week and this past week it’s just been eating my money. Although the self wash is way better than these other places across the city, the last 2 times I came here it took my money and the machine just wasn’t working. It said that I had put money in the wash and gave me what options to use but none of the buttons were working. Tap also wasn’t working, so I went to the machine to exchange cash for change, put a 10$ bill, and it just ate it. No change came out of it at all and just flashed red. Really frustrated with their service lately.

As a Wash club member I love the idea, the cost and the location of the Suds tunnel wash but the quality of their tunnel wash is just too low. Too many scratches on my car, too much soap residue left over from the short rinse process and the right side of the drying blowers haven’t worked properly in at least 2 months. So I’ve finally had enough and cancelled my wash club. I can handle hand drying my car every time, I’m even ok with wiping away the left over soap, but the scratches from the old equipment is beyond acceptable (and because I’m hand drying it with a chamois cloth, I see every new scratch that is made on every single pass through the wash). I’ll rejoin when you upgrade the tunnel wash equipment and happily even pay more per month but only for a system that doesn’t mark up my SUV and leave it with soap and water drops on the entire right side.
Come on Suds, time to upgrade with a better system and when you do, I’ll be back.

I have been a long-time customer of Suds Car Wash on Merivale, but my experience today was a complete failure in both service and management. After waiting over 30 minutes in the tunnel wash line, the equipment failed during the rinse cycle, leaving my car covered in soap.
When I brought this to the manager's attention, I was told "all sales are final" and that my only option was to go wait in another line for the self-serve bays to rinse it off myself. It is completely unacceptable to pay for a professional service, have the equipment malfunction, and then be told to do the manual labor yourself to fix their error.
I’ve noticed other recent reviews mentioning similar service and equipment issues. It’s a shame to see such a reliable local business deteriorate to this level of indifference toward customers. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I visited Suds Car Wash today at around 3:40 PM and paid $20 for the drive-through wash. I followed all of the posted instructions and staff directives carefully.
When I drove away, I immediately noticed that my rear window was still very dirty. After checking the rest of the vehicle, I saw streaks and dirt left behind, especially on the back window. My car honestly wasn’t very dirty to begin with, so I was surprised and disappointed with the results. For $20, I expected a much cleaner finish.
I would appreciate speaking with someone regarding this experience. I’m hoping this can be addressed and resolved.

The actual process of washing your car is fine. Cost wise you are basically being scammed out of your money. As another review mentioned the timing charge here is absolutely corrupted. The indoor wash charges you based on time and being winter, I took my car there. I literally spent like 4 minutes tops in there just blasting the salt off my car, I go to pay at the machine and a $14 charge. We live in a society where people are terrible with finances and make bad decisions so this place might be perfect for you. But for me, I'm taking a further drive into a small town next time.

The actual wash experience was good, however I was stuck for a solid 20 minutes trying to leave the indoor wash bay area. I tried using the Suds Car Wash app which failed to work properly and didn’t give me the code to enter in the machine at the exit. I had already paid on the app so I couldn’t just pay on the machine. I pushed the help button and waited for 20 minutes for an attendant, which of course caused the price of my wash to go up since you pay for the amount of time you’re inside the wash bay area. I had cars waiting behind me, getting understandably frustrated at the wait and this meant I couldn’t just back up and park and go into the office. This poor experience was mainly down to the very poor, horribly designed phone app, but also the attendant should not have taken 20 minutes to come to my assistance.
I ended up paying $40 for a 20 minute wash which in my opinion is very overpriced, especially given the abysmal customer service I received.
Editing to add that the pricing system is very unclear. I read other complaints about that and realized this was also an issue I had. I literally had to guess how much it would be, plus the long wait at the exit threw things off - which really should have been deducted imo. In my mind I was guessing $15-20 for a 20 minute wash would be reasonable, but nope - ended up being double that.
I see the admin responding to reviews saying “pricing is posted everywhere”. That’s a lie. It is not. It’s very unclear.

First time, but not the last time, I will use the Indoor Self-Serve Bay to wash my SUV. It was a cold Saturday evening and so it was nice to give my SUV a rinse at my leisure and not worry about the cold. I initially sought clarification as to what the indoor self-serve was all about and the young lads were more than happy to help. Will definitely use the Indoor self-serve bay again.

Suds is honestly one of the best car washes in Ottawa, especially if you like washing your car manually. The pressure washers are always strong and consistent, which makes rinsing and cleaning super effective. The only thing I wish they’d improve is having stronger soap and avoiding the use of brushes, since brushes can potentially scratch paint. That said, if you’re pressure washing and rinsing only, it’s hands down amazing. There’s usually space to wash, even when it’s busy, and in the summer it becomes a great spot for car enthusiasts to meet up. The automatic wash is also much better than gas station ones, it’s powerful and actually takes its time. If they improve reliability when bays are down and extend automatic wash hours, it would be perfect.

want to make a complaint about my recent visit to your car wash.
Because of the long lineup outside, your staff told told me and other people to go inside the area and clearly said the price would be the same. I agreed based on that information.(but i knew inside we to pay more i been there many times)
When the service was done, I paid $10 which was not what I was told before entering. When I questioned this, the manager (asian guy)argued with me and was very rude instead honouring the original price.$4 for Quick spray
My family, and my friends come here regularly and we support this business. Being lied to about pricing and then treated disrespectfully is unacceptable.
It’s not about $6 it’s principal
Customers should not be misled just so more money can be taken. I expect better communication, honesty, and respect.

The machines are uncalibrated. The staff is horrendously rude. I will no longer bring my business personal or recommend. If you don't care about being ripped off because the timing on the machines is faulty and if you don't mind being stolen from and if you don't mind rude staff and management. Then by all means this is the place for you.. I will continue to drive out of my way all the way out to Carlton place or even Smith falls where the service is great. The machines are timed properly and the quality of management is unbeaten.

They are scammers, there pay-pad machine supposed to charge my six dollars but after I checked my account bank they have charged me $20 just for using 5 minutes of their service. Never tried them any other manual car wash in Ottawa is better than them

Today I had a terrible experience here, SUDS Car Wash, Merivale / Ottawa, at the store washing my car after having gone through the automatic one which did a very good job, I stopped at the place to finish the cleaning, when five minutes later an employee came to clean the vacuum cleaner, dirtying my WHOLE car. I had to pay for another wash, while the employee and another one in the BLACK TESLA, were laughing watching me!
We started off very badly!

Big thanks to Vickie at Suds Carwash! The machine ate my $6, but she was so kind and helpful in resolving the issue. Still waiting on the refund, but her service gives me confidence. Best value car wash in town!

I had an issue recently where I was accidentally overcharged while using the indoor car wash at Sud. I spoke to Viki, the new manager, and I couldn’t be more impressed. She was incredibly helpful, professional, and went above and beyond to resolve the issue quickly. It’s refreshing to see someone who truly cares about customer service. Thank you, Viki!

What a rip off!!! No prices anywhere!! You’re supposed to guess that you’re on the clock paying per minute!! Try to decipher the charge with the 10 signs that do not disclose the charge for a car wash!!! I took 5 minutes to wash my car and got charged $8.75!!!!! $8.75!!! Every other car wash is $5!!!! Unbelievable!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I repeat DO NOT GO!!!!

Love my wash membership and have been using the express lane for about a week now.
Went today to get an RFID so I can self wash and Zade, the man working the desk was not a help at all. Told me I could self wash my car today but when I was charged 18$ he lied to my face and said I was in longer than 15 minutes.
He said he watched me on the camera and when I confronted to watch with him he declined and sent me on my way. What a tool!
