Working with Voyager has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with a contractor. They were the low bid, so we obviously got what we paid for. Initially they told us the project would only take 2 weeks and be done in early May. They didn't complete our project until the first week of August. Their excuses for the delays ranged from blaming Home Depot for losing their order, to saying they couldn't get ahold of the City inspector - but the entire time, I repeatedly asked for the order numbers or tracking numbers, and permit information - all of which they refused to provide.

I never trusted that they placed the orders when they said they did - and they eventually admitted that the delays caused by scheduling the inspector turned out to be because they hadn't paid for the permits yet - even though they had already started work.

The work they did complete was also sub-par at best. A glass block window they installed leaked the day after it was installed - they never finished painting the trim around the doors they installed - they scratched/permanently damaged the glass on one of our new doors - they installed a light switch upside down - and damaged our floors while they were working. We ended up repairing/repainting this ourselves because we didn't trust the quality of their work or have the time to get them to fix it.

They would also leave trash inside and outside our house with no communication on when it would be removed. And there were several days when one guy would show up and work for 6+ hours only to complete a 4ft x 4ft patch of drywall. Most days their guys would show up after 9 or 10 in the morning and just leave after finishing for the day with no communication about when they would come back or what work was left to complete.

Jake and Josh would only show up to collect their money - and they would ask for a check before it was due per the contract. I felt like I had to question everything they told me and it seemed like they thought I was just ignorant and didn't understand the payment schedule.

I would not recommend this company to anyone - they are unprofessional and extremely bad communicators. If they had overbooked themselves for our project - they should have just been honest with me about the delays - but instead they lied to my face and assumed I would trust them. I am SO happy to have this project complete so I never have to work with Voyager again.

We were extremely stressed and anxious about completing our interior home project after dealing with multiple companies. Thankfully, our neighbor recommended Jake and his team at Voyager Construction. From start to finish, everything was exceptionally smooth. Communication was crystal clear, pricing was fair, and, most importantly, the quality of their work exceeded our expectations. We wholeheartedly recommend giving Voyager Construction a chance to earn your business – we did, and we're incredibly grateful that we did!

Voyager Construction is a fantastic company. They built my over the garage cedar deck. Beautiful! And did all the necessary repairs to help sell my rental home. They’re trustworthy, reliable and the quality is amazing. I highly recommend Jake and Team for any remodeling or handyman project!

My wife and I had some work done on our basement in the spring of 2020 after finding some standing water in one corner of our home. After calling Jake, he was able to drop by for an estimate that same say, offering advice on how we could best tend to our carpet before any contractors began working. We were given a prompt digital estimate. The person who was tasked with carrying out the work, Zach, was very professional, informative and conscientious throughout the process. We would definitely use Voyager again for any related home care needs.

Voyager Construction has my highest recommendation! Jacob has been completing various projects around my house for the last two years and the work is phenomenal. He and his employees are nothing but professional, efficient, and excellent craftsman, to say the least. I also appreciate the flexibility they've shown when scheduling with me, as I have a ridiculously busy schedule - coming after hours, early morning, weekends. I will continue to use Voyager construction for EVERYTHING I need around the house. Currently I'm having new windows put in, will be adding a deck and patio door, having some work done on the garage, and anything else I can think of.

Voyager recently completed a total remodel of the first floor of our Edina Rambler (Kitchen, bath, removal of popcorn ceiling, hardwood flooring, installation of windows, interior/exterior painting etc.) They finished the project on time and within budget. We lived in the house during the project with 4 kids and they went out of their way to work with our busy schedule and kept the place tidy during construction. We are thrilled with the final product. We were very impressed with the skill and craftsmanship of their entire crew. We will definitely be using them for future projects.
