TLDR: I took my car to Tuffy’s 3 times over 2 weeks and my tire is still not fixed. I’m shocked there are so many good reviews because the service I received here was awful.

I woke up one morning to find one of my tires very low. I chose this location because of the great reviews. I made an appointment online for 11am then dropped my car off on my lunch break. I called around 3pm for an update and the manager said my car was next in line. I never got a call from them that evening. When I tried to call for an update again, it just went to voicemail every time.

I went to pick it up first thing in the morning, a little annoyed that I had to leave my car overnight for a simple tire repair. But I got it, paid, and thought I was in the clear. However, the next morning my tire was low again. I continued to fill it each morning until I could make it back to the shop on Saturday. I left my car from 11am-3pm, never receiving any updates. I called and the phone was never answered. I showed up to pick it up at 3pm and they said my tire pressure recognition system just needed reset and it was showing the wrong pressure. This was not the issue. As I had explained when I dropped it off, I had been manually checking it and refilling every morning that week. The worker, Bill, was apologetic and promised that if I brought the car in again, he would make sure the tire was fixed himself. He agreed that my tire should have been fixed by now, he apologized for all of the inconvenience and for the lack of communication on their part. I was very unsure about bringing it back a third time but Bill seemed trustworthy and willing to make it right.

Fast forward to the following weekend, I drop my car off again. Turns out Bill had quit that week so the one person who seemed trustworthy wasn’t even there. I left my car around 9:30am. I received no communication from Tuffy’s the rest of the day. I showed up at 3pm to pick it up before closing anyway. They hadn’t even looked at my car. The manager apologized and asked for 15 more minutes and he would look at it himself. I politely declined because Tuffy’s already wasted way too much of my time at this point. I asked for a refund and he initiated the process while I was still there. I’m looking forward to receiving my money back and never returning to this Tuffy’s.

Amazing service! My OSU daughter took her car in, said that the place was comfortable and the people were so nice. Then, they did a free inspection, found a small problem, and repaired it at no charge. This will be our go-to place going forward!

I live right near the Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Center(West 5th ave). For over a decade, I have cofidently relied on this establishment for my car's repairs and other services. They have talented tech guys. Approaching customer with great patience, understanding car issues and providing solution is appriciatable. My best wishes to "Tuffy" and Mr.Alex for consistently providing excellent service in a timely manner. May they achieve even greater success.

If you’re looking for professional quality service I recommend these guys. Came in with smoke coming from my tire, left with confidence and a problem solved. The guys at Tuffys did a great job diagnosing and resolving the issue. They were able get me in and out relatively smoothly even without an appointment. Also great customer service even while I waited for the repair.

AVOID this place if you can. I had my car towed here because my insurance covered the miles and I regret not just paying a tow to take it to my usual mechanic. Brandon the manager says he’ll call you back but fails to do so. I had to call a few different times to get clarification or provide more details because he sounds annoyed to even be on the phone and was trying to quickly get me off. I asked for an ETA and was given the run around. They had my car for 2 weeks to replace 4 spark plugs, a brake light, and a coolant inspection. I also asked them to check the back rear tire again because it was constantly leaking air only to be told they did check it and nothing was wrong to then pull out of the parking lot with a tire that should be 36 now at 26. They also failed to put my entire engine cap back on and we only noticed recently because the car has once again started idling and has an engine light on which it didn’t have prior to taking it here, so we popped the hood to check things out and my entire engine is exposed. Don’t waste your time or money at this place!

Edit: put more air in my back right tire after picking my car up from this shop. It’s already low again, but yeah, nothing was wrong with it. lol
