Things I noticed that I've never seen when working with kids at a school or daycare before:
-Bees in the classroom sometimes 5x a day and they wre close to the kids they didn't find an issue with it.
-plastic Snack containers were reused which is a no no in places with allergies.
-Coffee filters as plates
-Kids who come in later dont do much but play and then read a book, it doesn't really feel like school but more so like an after school program.
-head Admin talks about eachother in terms of who's more strict and in the back of the house versus who's more lenient and in the front of the house. Head Admin had their younger daughter hear and be apart of this conversation in the designated staff room this past Wednesday.
-Classroom doors are sometimes left open.
-Don't always have the front door locked it was left unlocked weds night so anyone could've been in the building.
-older admin doesn't have any patience with the kids she gets irritated fast and has no patience for them, sometimes can be rough with the kids. It's also supposed to be peanut and nut free but older admin still brings in snacks wity peanuts in them and hides them in her office.
-they say no phones yet all the teachers put them in their pockets. some of them take pictures of the kids on their phone instead of the iPad.
-they throw you into uncomfortable situations with little to no training
