Dr. Newton is an amazing surgeon, reading about my surgery online I was expecting the worse but due to his expertise pain was minimal and he made sure to check up on me afterwards as well. I see a comment saying he seemed to not care and I think that couldn’t be further from the truth. He will tell you the facts straight up without sugarcoating anything and I think that is what makes him so good at his job. Even leaving the hospital I had many of the staff members say how excellent of a surgeon he is and that I was in good hands. Definitely wouldn’t recommend anyone else.

My sister had seen this doctor yesterday, and said he was super condescending and that the nurses cared more about her than he did. Visibly crying on the table in pain and the doctor said “well you shouldn’t have let it get this bad”. she’s 18 and scared and has been dealing with this since a kid with no answers. Of course she was nervous to come, and to be met with the amount of attitude from the doctor made her even less secure about the situation. She has to come back in 2 weeks and hopefully the treatment from the doctor is better.

Dr. Newton is an outstanding surgeon having the highest quality skills , talent and expertise in his field . His unique ability to navigate through some pretty complex conditions, with an honest, gentle and serious attention to detail that outshines all others... is truly genius!! His organized staff in office are the sweetest ladies and his assistant is amazing!! I am forever thankful and blessed I found Dr.Newton !!

I’m sure Dr. Newton is very good at surgery, and that is why I chose him in the first place. BUT… in the office, I was unimpressed by him. I find that with me he had a very condescending attitude and didn’t really want to take the time to talk with me or answer my questions especially after my first visit. My final thoughts - he had the bedside manner of a troll. I hope he sees this and thinks twice about his attitude towards the patient whether their condition is life threatening or not, or if they need a simple procedure compared to a complex surgery. I did not return to him to complete my treatment. He simply didn’t seem to care. There are other great surgeons out there that will.

This is the title I have to give Dr. Newton and the entire staff at Memorial Hermann was the best experience I have ever had!!
I was scared and nervous and a bit anxiety going on in my head from the experience. I had back 10 years ago in Orlando, which was an awful experience. I got to drink flavored drinks (Peach Tea & Flavored Gatorade) With the powder you have to consume And couldn’t even tell there was stuff in it!! I was the first patient in, and everyone was so informative from the nurses to the anesthesiologist to the bed, prep ladies, and the setting up for the procedure was so smooth and easy!! Dr. Newton was excellent and friendly even with a Green Bay Packers scarf on his head.. lol.. I came out of there, feeling a Bit dizzy which they wheeled me down in a wheelchair to my car and I came home took a nap woke up and I feel like nothing happened! My stomach doesn’t hurt. My bottom doesn’t hurt. I would recommend them every day all day.❤️💯❤️💯❤️💯
I seriously could do a colonoscopy every year if I need to with these guys it was that easy!!
