Refuses to honor full-service pumps. Garbage service. Go somewhere else

I’m from out of town, and this is one area of Portland where I feel unsafe every single time I’m there. There are frequently people who appear extremely intoxicated or impaired, wandering through the parking lot, getting uncomfortably close to customers, and sometimes walking directly in front of moving cars without paying attention.

The last time I stopped here, there was literally blood on the ground. I felt so gross afterward that I wanted to put my shoes straight into the washing machine. The station is also constantly packed, with a lot of people and vehicles crowded around the pumps, which makes an already uncomfortable environment feel even more chaotic.

The gas prices don’t help. I’ve seen prices around $5.20+ per gallon, so you’re paying a premium while dealing with an environment that, in my experience, feels poorly maintained and unsafe.

Cleanliness-wise, this is genuinely one of the worst gas stations I’ve ever visited. I wouldn’t touch the squeegees or anything around the pumps. It gives complete wasteland vibes.

I understand that management cannot control everything happening in the surrounding neighborhood. However, they absolutely can control the condition of their own property. Better groundskeeping, regular cleanup, improved lighting and visible attention to the lot would make a huge difference. If employees don’t feel safe enough to regularly maintain the outside of the property, that alone says a lot about the conditions customers are walking into.

I avoid stopping here whenever possible. For me, both safety and cleanliness are serious concerns.

The food mart immediately went downhill after it got new owners and stopped being a Jackson’s. I used to go here regularly for a quick and cheap lunch. Tried getting pizza here twice, and both times it was undercooked and the dough in the middle was raw. Initially I thought the pizza was nice and cheesy, then I realized all the cheese was dry and rubbery and the “creaminess” was just raw dough.

Variety of hot foods available has been cut in half. The food they do have is always hard like it’s been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. They no longer sell any fresh fruit, and replaced it all with more junk food.

unbelieveably rude staff that lack the most basic knowledge about the items they sell behind the counter.

Don’t label something as “Full Service” if you refuse to provide that service. I sat there for over 20 mins waiting for someone to pump the gas and no one came out. Left and went to chevron instead. Label it correctly or do your job properly. Thank you.
