I’m not usually one to leave reviews, especially negative ones, but this experience was confusing enough that I think the owners should know so the staff can receive better training. I found this place through Groupon and decided to give it a try today.
When I placed my order, I mentioned that I had a [ \$25 ] Groupon. The employee ringing us up gave me the classic “deer in headlights” look and said she wasn’t sure how it worked, so she called over a manager. I showed him the Groupon on my phone, and after what appeared to be a brief battle with the register screen, he told me their system was not accepting it because of a glitch. He then walked off toward the kitchen, leaving us standing there like the Groupon had personally offended him.
At that point, I was frustrated and decided to leave. Ironically, once I got to my car and looked at the Groupon more closely, I was able to place an online order and apply it with no problem at all. Apparently, the Groupon and I just needed some privacy to work things out. It would have been helpful if someone in the restaurant had suggested ordering online or made an effort to help instead of leaving us feeling dismissed.
When we returned to pick up the online order, the staff seemed annoyed to see us again, as if we had created the glitch ourselves. The food, however, was actually really good, which makes the experience even more frustrating. With better customer service, this easily could have been a much higher rated visit.

Delicious fresh food served up by an amazingly courteous and accommodating team. Clean, great location and a lot of yummy choices! They even have real sweet tea and Lemonade. So glad we gave them a try. They four young men working there tonight displayed kindness, manners and friendliness that is uncommon for most front facing service business. Worth your hard earned money!

Extra star because prior to today I've gotten takeout (ordered ahead online) three times, and I was always satisfied: friendly people in the drive-through and good, if overpriced, food.
Unfortunately, today was an experience I never want to repeat. I had an hour to burn while my son was getting a haircut nearby. Around 3:30, I walked inside to order. It was an off-time, so they weren't super busy.
A young man with bleached blonde hair was at the register. I waited for over 10 minutes while he served people who kept wondering up to the front to get drink refills or ask questions. I was never greeted. No one even made eye contact.
Finally, I walked up to the register and said, "Hi, I've been waiting for a while. Can you take my order, please?" All I got was a blank look. No apology, nothing. This dude legit just stared at me for a second and then looked away. What kind of customer service is that?
I left empty-handed 15 minutes after I arrived. I can't remember the last time I walked out of an establishment due to poor service - it's been a decade, probably longer. But today I was honestly embarrassed and appalled. I am not easily flustered, but I doubt I'll ever come back. Please train your staff to treat customers better than this.

I ordered the 6" French Dip with Cajun Red Beans & Rice and a Party Punch. My wife ordered the Choose Two with a McAlister's Club and a Chicken Bacon Ranch Spud and a Strawberry Lemonade. The french dip was good, and the au jus really ties that sandwich together. I liked the taste of the red beans & rice, but the texture of the beans was different than I enjoy (a little more al dente). The party punch is the way to go. Not sure if the syrup went out on the strawberry lemonade, but it was more watered down, but the party punch was flavorful and addicting. My wife loved her meal and said it's her favorite deli of all time.
Hayley is the magical presence at McAlister's Deli who enhances your visit and sets this place apart. She greeted us as we entered, gave helpful recommendations when we ordered, and checked on us periodically through our stay. Hayley gets all the credit for the 5-star service.
The restaurant is in a good location. I can't remember which fast food chain used to be here (probably a Burger King or something), but they did a good job making it their own. There's plenty of parking, although the prime spots go quick. The heat from the heater was a little too high for me, but that's personal preference.
I enjoyed my visit. I've had McAlister's in the South, and this location lives up to the standards. It's better than Zupas and Panera, but not as good as Paradise Bakery (which pretty much doesn't exist anymore, except in Dallas). Because it's my wife's favorite deli of all time, I'll be back.

Driving by I noticed this deli and decided to stop and grab takeout for dinner. I was impressed with the fast service and friendly staff—definitely a welcoming deli atmosphere. I ordered through the drive up and they brought it out to my car within 5 minutes.
I ordered a Club sandwich and a Reuben. Both sandwiches had a good amount of meat, which I appreciated. The Club came on plain wheat bread, which was a bit underwhelming, and while the Reuben had nicely marbled rye, it really needed to be toasted to bring out the flavor and texture. That small change would’ve made a big difference!
Also tried the crab chowder—unfortunately, it wasn’t a hit for me. It had a strong spicy kick and didn’t taste homemade. On the other hand, the Savannah salad was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious—definitely the highlight of the meal.
Before leaving I realized they forgot my soup, ran in and they upgraded to a bowl instead of a cup.. and threw in a chocolate chip cookie for the mistake. Great cookie!
I’d absolutely come back to try more items. The place has great potential, but please toast the bread—it would take the sandwiches up a notch! Oh and chop up the cucs smaller. Little changes would make big difference.
