I got the iced orange cream hojicha latte and it was beyond my expectations and probably the best drink I've gotten from any café. Also grabbed the smoked salmon sandwich which was good. Only complaint is that the tables are incredibly tiny, so you have to put your drinks/food on one of the chairs if you're doing work on the table.

i have tried a bunch of things from the menu at neo and it is a solid spot with great atmosphere. their basque cheesecake is incredible and never disappoints. the matcha, however, is just okay doesn't taste like the highest quality matcha out there.

the ambiance here is very cute especially if you love warm yellow lighting. the seating is very nice and i really like that they host jazz nights.

my main complaint comes down to the service and how the space is managed. i wish the staff were way more friendly and welcoming. additionally, there seems to be no management over the seating. i understand it’s a third space, but people frequently camp out on laptops for hours after finishing their coffee, ordering nothing else while groups of people are actively waiting for seats. the staff says nothing to regulate this. a reasonable two/threehour limit would make a huge difference.

I’ve visited Neo Coffee Bar a few times now and it’s consistently good. The breakfast cookies are absolutely fantastic—definitely a highlight!
If you are a matcha lover, you have to try their iced matcha latte; it’s exceptionally well-made, with a perfectly balanced and delicious flavor. Their flat white is also excellent, smooth, and expertly prepared.
I also tried the matcha cookie; while it was well-baked, it was a bit too mild for my personal taste, but that’s just a preference. Overall, it’s a wonderful spot with high-quality drinks and treats.

I had a meeting here and was very impressed with their space. There were two large tables at the front which created a somewhat communal 'work space' and other individual seating arrangements along the sides. The space was vibrant with different groups of people but was quiet enough to work. I had the carrot cake which was moist and a mocha which was good. I would visit again.

Tried the matcha berry cake, which is good and I got the ube latte for my drink but I didn’t like it that much is taste nothing like ube to be honest. Ambiance was nice tho. They don’t allow laptop use on weekends which I didn’t know, so had to leave early.

The lattes are truly excellent🌟☕️and the espresso they use is very high quality.
We visited on Good Friday, and despite that, we were able to get a table without waiting. There was also live music, which made the experience even better. I really love the vibe of this cafe.

Loved the experience at Neo Coffee Bar!
The cappuccino had a beautiful texture and rich taste, and the hot chocolate was warm, smooth, and indulgent. The butter croissant was fresh, buttery, and perfectly flaky—just how it should be.

Neo coffee is great! I love the vibe, they have good coffee & matcha as well as alcoholic drinks! good spot to study/get work done & also good spot to chat. No laptops after 5 on weekdays.

They have some decent GF options for baked goods as well.

Recently moved to the neighborhood and decided to give this place a try, but I left pretty underwhelmed. The space is large, but it doesn’t feel cozy. What really put me off was the staff. There was no greeting, no eye contact, and the overall vibe just felt off and unwelcoming. My cappuccino was below average and not something I’d come back for. The croissant was also not very tasty. The tables are also quite small and not very comfortable to sit at for long.
Overall, this won’t be my first choice for a morning coffee.

Fantastic espresso here. I purchased 2 Cortado’s with 2% organic milk. They were delicious. I got one that was big ass and one regular. Both were amazing. The decaf was not quite as strong flavor as the regular, which is pretty typical, but it was still delicious and smooth.
The presentation was perfect. The barista complained he didn’t do a very nice heart, but I was being complicated on how much milk I wanted in my Cortado. I wanted less than typical & I told him midstream. Cashier and barista were very personable and friendly. They were welcome to my wanting altered a little bit and not being a typical Cortado. wonderful and jazz music in the background. They have a lot of individual seats, which is nice along with giant tables for groups.

The music was such a great touch to this café. The coffee was good. I love how it closes later. I would just warn that it does get very busy and will be difficult to get a table if in a larger group. There’s also a section with very small tables which are good individual seats. Also if you don’t like a lot of noise, it is very loud in here

A great place to relax and soak up some ‘urban city life’.

NEO serves a large varieties of coffee and matcha drinks. Hot and cold. Really good foam and good coffee.

The interior is very modern and bright, with lots of wood and dark stone, complemented by concrete elements.
The overall atmosphere feels airy and full of light, with great indirect lighting. Service is extremely fast and very friendly.

What I especially liked: many small details, lots of single- tables, combined with large community tables in the center.

This has become my go to coffee shop, providing not only incredible coffee and food, but a world class atmosphere and decor to match. Bonus points for turning the venue into a bar during night time, complete with masterful cocktails and some of the best espresso martinis in Toronto. Cheers!

A high traffic location, not ideal for lingering too long and having a relaxing time to enjoy your drinks/food.

In terms of aesthetics, vibe and decor borders on the minimalist style . Place is always busy (peak or non-peak hours) and noise level is high. If you're planning to spend a quiet and calming time, this is definitely not the place for you.

No laptop/no tablet policy after 5 pm is heavily implemented. It's best to avoid this coffee shop if you're planning to use your laptop or tablet.

Ordered coffee and it's well balanced and less acidic in taste.

Despite having good coffee, I don't think I will come back to this place due to uninviting ambiance.

I went for coffee. The coffee was good but I like my coffee really hot so it doesn't go cold as I like to nurse it. I found the coffee to be hot but not hot enough. Therefore the 4 Star rating. However, it was good coffee. So I will be going again but will ask for extra hot coffee.

This Neo Coffee Bar is located along Spadina Ave that is a coffee shop by day and cocktail bar in the evenings. They have a large, atmospheric interior, nice for doing a bit of work while enjoying a coffee or non-coffee drink. They do a few light bites as well. Opening hours are 7am till late (weekdays) and 8am till late (weekends).

Stopped by recently and was served a very good espresso macchiato. Espresso was strong, fair amount of milk added to cut the edge, plenty of top foam for texture. Service friendly and timely, prices reasonable. Overall, this was a very good macchiato and really nice environs. Would gladly have coffee here again.
