I initially stopped by here specifically because of their froyo, but it turned out to not really be my type of froyo. I tried the Mykonian Dragon combination with dragon fruit and strawberry, but it was just a little too sweet for my personal preference. It is definitely still okay to try if you have a big sweet tooth! However, if you are like me and prefer something less sweet, a better tip is to try their plain Greek yogurt instead. On the plus side, the service was wonderful and fast! It's a decent spot, tho!

Gyro Project on the Upper West Side deserves every one of these five stars. Skepasti (is like pita club sandwich) steals the show flavorful, authentic, and perfectly prepared. The restaurant is spotless, the staff is professional, and Chris the manager treats guests with genuine care. Thank you for representing Greek cuisine with honor and making our heritage shine.

The only thing better than the pictures and how it looks …is the taste. Heaven. The food was delicious. Large portion means take home…and please save room for dessert. Frozen vanilla Greek yogurt and honey with nuts and philo dough is a reason all by its self to come. Served in a timely fashion. Amazing- George our server was/is incredible.

If you’re looking for the best gyro in New York, The Gyro Project absolutely delivers. This is hands down one of the most flavorful and satisfying gyros I’ve had in the city so far.
I ordered the beef and lamb gyro, and it was packed with flavor perfectly seasoned, juicy, and cooked just right. The tzatziki deserves its own spotlight: thick, creamy, and loaded with that bold garlic kick that makes it irresistible. It was honestly perfect for dipping fries too (which I highly recommend doing).
The pita bread was soft and fluffy, everything tasted incredibly fresh, and you can really tell they care about quality. On top of that, the customer service was warm and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.
And don’t skip dessert their frozen Greek yogurt is amazing. I tried the baklava flavor, and it was such a treat rich, unique, and absolutely delicious.
Highly recommend this spot if you want authentic flavors done right. I’ll definitely be coming back.

This place was SO yum and in such a great location! They are open late and still have everything up to the last minute because I came running in 10 min before close and they were so nice to me. Huge portions, everything was so fresh and flavorful. The staff were really kind and fun to be around while they made my food. Their tzatziki was the best I have ever had, so creamy and fresh. Everything I had was delicious. The rice and pesto potatoes together were heaven with the chicken. I can’t wait to go back and get more mouthwatering spring rolls and definitely try their dolmas because they were so delicious. They packaged my food Togo very nicely and the place was spotless. I appreciate you so much, Gyro Project! Keep up the great work! An Upper West Side gem, super safe location right by Central Park.
