I am so glad I found Dr. Midgley. She is knowledgeable and compassionate. She takes her time in every appt to talk to her patients and discuss what she can do to help. I’ve never had a permanent family doctor but I do now!

Very aware of my concerns and addressed them with kindness. She efficient and I felt listened to. Being older doesn't make you less interested in your care it makes it more important to be heard. She does a good job at that.

I had an outstanding experience with Dr Midgley. She was warm, attentive, and truly took the time to listen to my concerns. The explanations were clear and reassuring, and I never felt rushed. The entire visit was smooth, professional, and compassionate. I left feeling confident in my care and grateful to have found such a dedicated physician.

I had a really great initial appointment with Dr Midgley 4 months ago. She was very sympathetic to my well-documented painful conditions and diseases (multiple autoimmune diseases that cause pain + hip bursitis), and was happy to continue my long-standing treatment plan from my previous doctor who retired. Never had any issues or escalation of meds. She was so sweet then and reassured me there would be no interruption with my long-time proven treatment, and to let her know if I needed anything else at all, medication-wise. This treatment/medication was also approved by her again a few weeks ago. However, in my recent appointment, after I asked for a medication check-in, she was colder and abruptly stated at the end of my annual, that she doesn’t prescribe those meds and that I need to find someone else to do it. I had not initially reminded her of who I was and what conditions she’s treating me for, because she has all my records right there. But it seemed clear she forgot that she is treating a serious painful autoimmune disease I have, enthusiastically agreed to treating it 4 months ago with kindness, empathy and care. This time she seemed to think I was a random patient she had prescribed temporary meds for. Saying quickly it was “just to help me out initially” when I asked what changed, and not really giving me space to converse with her about it. She said it can be addictive, then she walked toward the door after kind of dropping this thing on me. I didn’t have the wherewithal or opportunity to stop her and remind her who I am and what she’s treating me for. It was a confusing appointment after the first one, and no other related developments happened between. I will have to make a new appointment to sit down with her and remind her of what we had established 4 months ago, and remind her who I am as her patient. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt. I also need a doctor who will understand the care I need and be stable with it. Which I thought I had found due to her enthusiastically reassuring me she was in my corner. Even saying “You are someone who actually needs this medication. I have no issue with it and you just let me know if I can help more.” with a smile. She also previously prescribed me a medication I wasn't already taking, mentioning that the "one drawback is it's addictive." So the inconsistency this time with medication concerns over a med I've been taking 10+ years, versus a new, admittedly addictive med was confusing. It was very disconcerting, as someone who desperately needs serious and proper care from my doctors, and struggles to find that care. With long-time chronic pain and autoimmune diseases, being bounced around contributes to medical fatigue. I hope she was just tired or running behind, as it was a Friday afternoon.

Dr. Midgley is truly exceptional. I was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and needed a new primary care physician. She could have easily redirected me back to my oncologist or suggested I find someone else, but instead she took the time to really understand my diagnosis and my situation.

She answered all of my questions patiently, walked me through what she could help with as my primary care doctor, and made me feel genuinely cared for and supported. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and willingness to listen meant more to me than I can put into words.

I am incredibly grateful to have Dr. Midgley as my primary care physician and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doctor who truly shows up for their patients.
