Extremely disappointed with my experience at Marc Jacobs.
I purchased a handbag as a gift and paid in cash. Before completing my purchase, I specifically asked the sales associate if the bag could be returned in case the recipient didn’t like it. I was told yes, it could be returned.
Just one week later, we came back to return the bag. It was brand new, unused, and in perfect condition. To my surprise, we were told that the bag could not be returned because it had been on sale.
At no point during the purchase did anyone mention that sale items were final sale. There was also no sign or notice informing customers of this policy. If I had been told the truth before purchasing, I would never have bought it as a gift.
This experience was frustrating and misleading. Customers deserve to be given accurate information before making a purchase, especially when they ask directly about the return policy
