I had a truly awful experience with Vanguard Volkswagen. Despite repeatedly telling them I had my own loan, they pretended to be on the phone with my bank and ran my credit anyway, which I explicitly asked them not to do. It felt like they were trying to push me into using their lender.

Then, their system went down, and they pressured me to take the car home without finalizing any numbers. Just as I was leaving, they called to say the system was back up. They claimed they had a deal through their lender, completely disregarding my situation.

I ignored their unsolicited offer and finalized my loan application myself. After leaving with the car, I was called back by their finance guy, who said the technician reported issues with the vehicle. They insisted I return it before it broke down. Another customer was leaving as I arrived and commented that it felt like a scam.

In the finance office, the guy voided the contract and refunded my down payment. I was frustrated when a manager approached me. After I explained the situation, he seemed confused. He checked and discovered I was the wrong customer called and that my car had no issues. Still, he refused to compensate me for their mistakes and only offered to re-contract.

I told him that if he couldn't offer compensation, he should keep everything voided. They had already pulled my credit when I arrived with an approved loan. Overall, this experience was disgusting. It was the worst I have ever had, and I would not recommend this dealership to anyone.

From coming here getting my car serviced to buying another vehicle and helping my family get additional cars. I feel part of the team for the time I've spent here over the last couple of weeks haha!

I live closer to South VW, and I'm not saying I didn't receive excellent service from the service advisor or team but here at North Vanguard, they are very knowledgeable and on top of their customers and the service provided. Sara Torres was amazing and she ensured that I wasn't overcharged and that my concerns were addressed. If you want a car, go to any dealership but if you want THE experience then this is the team to do it!

I could’ve walked out with a go-kart and still left happy. What truly made the difference was how this team worked for me, not the other way around. They made sure I drove out of there with a car I felt good about, despite a few roadblocks along the way(not their fault). From Jason in the service department to Andy in finance. They never made me feel like just another number or a sale. I felt seen, heard, and genuinely cared for through every step of the process. That kind of service is rare, especially when you’ve had experiences elsewhere where you feel like you’re working for the dealership’s commission instead of them working for you, well Raven never made me feel that way. Raven is awesome! I went in to test drive an ID.4 and was immediately greeted kindly by the front desk. Raven was very knowledgeable about Electric Vehicles. She knew the ID.4 inside-and-out and I left with no questions about the vehicle because she answered them all in detail!

Honestly they gave a great offer, no doubt about it, that I would have been elated to accept...however the sales manager (I believe was his role) was abrasive. When he came in to check on the sale he essentially asked what's the hold up. He spoke negatively of a customer that had walked out before me which was inappropriate. Also said that one of the fees was free because of a discount, however, something is not free if it's itemized as a positive number then included in a total. Pretty basic math. The principle of that bothered me. They did give a good offer at the end but at that point the experience had been off-putting enough that I preferred to walk away unless a stellar negotiation was made.

Amazing customer service with Vanguard VW. Car was not charging correctly with the battery, I had to get it towed to Vanguard. Chris called me right when my vehicle arrived to the dealership. Checked in with service which was prompt and professional. As I am in an EV and had to drive about an hour to the dealer, I asked for them to charge my vehicle which I’d much prefer over getting my car washed. Even just a quick plug in would have helped, particularly with the expectation/assumption that a dealer would have a fast charge set up. I got a type of shrug look like it was an inconvenience or added cost- idk which, just my impression. Was told if one was available they’d see what they could do. It was a priority for me bc of my charge situation not bc I wanted a free charge so-to-speak. To be fair, would I ask them to top off my gas? Never. But, gas v $5 charge (which is what is a normal full charge cost) seems reasonably less than not only gas but also the labor of their team washing my car. Maybe they could offer an either or? Or just say it’s a policy OR just use good judgement when you see your client drives an hour for scheduled tune up and help another person out. I’m sure this is up for debate based on the roles in the situation. I do appreciate that they kept my timeline in consideration and got me out the door when I needed to be.

Ending suggestion is if this isn’t a comp opportunity then there should be paid customer chargers on site that provide the convenience needed. Alternatively, before leaving service call out the nearby fast chargers and sharing that even though they don’t provide this accessibility that they still care by having thought out the next point of destination for them.

I came to this VW dealership for some repairs today. I got the car back and immediately noticed one of the volume buttons on the steering wheel feeling mushy and not working. It's jammed, but I can still press it and feel a slight click, but it's not registering with the stereo. The volume knob doesn't work either. So I can't control the volume of the car anymore.

The car also has a huge crack in the windshield that wasn't there before. They told me it cracked due to the heat, but after the button issue, I just don't trust them. I have photos of the car's windshield that they sent me when I brought it in (below), and the crack wasn't there. I also attached two photos showing the crack. It's huge-it spans almost all across the windshield. I would have noticed it.

I spoke with management, and they don't want to take responsibility. They said that the repairs they did didn't involve the front of the vehicle. One of the managers even called me a liar and that he "knew the type of people" I am when I wouldn't let the issue go. Very professional.

I just want them to admit their mistakes and own up to them.

When I called Vanguard to see if a BMW was still available that I found online, Chris was friendly and attentive to my request from the very first phone call.
