Allison.W was a huge help to me during my case. From the start she was easy to talk to, honest, and really knew what she was doing. She took the time to explain things in a way I could understand and always made sure I felt comfortable with what was going on.

Going through something like this can be stressful, but having Allison on my side made it a lot easier. She was patient, professional, and you could tell she actually cared about helping me and doing a good job.

Unfortunately, our experience with Helm Family Law LLP was very disappointing. We met directly with one of the firm’s partners, which makes the experience even more concerning. During the meeting, it was clear that personal feelings and emotions were influencing the interaction, rather than maintaining a professional, client-focused approach.

As potential clients, we came in expecting understanding, neutrality, and professionalism — qualities that are especially important in family law. Instead, we left feeling dismissed and uncomfortable. If this is the standard set by a partner, it raises serious questions about the firm’s overall culture and values.

A year ago I was looking for an aggressive lawyer who would help me navigate my case fighting for my basic father’s rights that were disrespectfully ignored by the other party. I stumbled across the review describing Elaine as an aggressive family lawyer in Edmonton and decided to call her.
Having to work with Elaine extensively for a year now, I can confirm that she is so much more than that!
Miss O’Connor is a passionate yet very reasonable lawyer. She is honest and very realistic in her views! She will tell you first hand what to most likely expect in the court room and where to keep the focus. Besides practising a family law for years, Elaine also has a previous experience with managing large foreign corporations which serves her very well with talking on your behalf in front of the justice. The thing I apreciated about her the most is that she has a huge heart and will fight for the right thing with the passion! Her moral compass is exceptional !
I was very surprised with the way Elaine drafts the affidavit. I did my best to describe my case as briefly and as informatively as possible, yet Elaine was able to rewrite my whole story so effectively
and formulated the affidavit in much clearer way. She knows the weight of the words and knows how to use them with great impact!
