Called to schedule an appointment, told before even scheduling that they will require physical therapy and will not provide medication for pain. WITHOUT EVEN VEIWING MY MEDICAL RECORDS. I toiled up to a day before the appointment and then cancelled it. No issue with strength, flexibility or ROM, something was broken 17 years ago that doctors said "was all in my head". Finally get proof of injury and they want to treat symptoms, not the primary issue. PAIN

*** A Beacon of Hope for Chronic Pain Sufferers ***
I have been living with chronic pain for about 15 years, and honestly, it is a grind. When my primary doctor referred me to Boone Health Pain Management in Columbia, MO, I was a bit skeptical, but also desperate for relief. After my first appointment last week, I can genuinely say that I feel that I have found a team that genuinely cares and has the knowledge to help me. This gives me hope for a better quality of life with less pain.
From the moment I walked in, the experience was impressive. The front desk staff were welcoming, the wait time was incredibly short, and the initial nurse was professional and kind. Then I met my pain management doctor (Annie Metzner), she completely exceeded my expectations as she seems knowledgeable, was very thorough, and took the time to listen to my long history of pain and me trying to convey my level of pain (what probably seemed like a grown man crying like a baby). I detailed to her my chronic low back pain, fibromyalgia pain, and severe joint pain in my knees and elbows. She listened patiently, asked me a-lot of questions, took detailed notes, and most importantly took immediate action.
Right away, she ordered X-rays of my knees, scheduled me for physical therapy, and booked me for knee injections. For the first time in a long time, I have a profound sense of hope. Getting referred to Boone Health Pain Management and being assigned to Dr. Metzner and her team looks to be a God sent gift, for me. I am hopeful. Their initiative-taking and caring approach made me feel seen, heard, and cared about. I am genuinely optimistic about a future with less pain. If you are dealing with chronic pain, I highly recommend this clinic. They are a fantastic team. I do realize that this is just the beginning, therefore I have a long road ahead of me. Although, I plan to do everything they recommend and pray for the best results.
I will update this review as I progress through the process to a life with less pain.

Everything was fine when I first started there. Dr. Brashiers was super nice & really seemed to listen. Then I got switched to Annie. I had multiple issues going on with multiple surgeries coming up. I was 100 % honest with them on everything. The neurosurgeon said I wasn't a candidate for surgery or injections so meds were my only source of relief. I went to my last appointment & asked Annie to please keep me on my same meds until after my oral surgery at least. Not only did that not happen , but I received a letter of them dropping me . I went into my patient portal to see their reasoning behind this & almost fainted when I read what they had written. They said I had "Underlying Psychiatric Issues " SERIOUSLY?? Well , I contacted the people who read these reviews and comments hoping it would get me somewhere. I talked to a guy & he told me he'd look into it and get back with me the next day. We'll, it's been way over a week with no response. I've left numerous messages but still nothing. Totally unprofessional.

I have had chronic pain for over 10 years, and the doctors at Boone Pain Management actually know what they are doing. Highly addictive pain medicine is the last resort and that is extremely refreshing since every pain management doctor has tried to treat the symptoms instead of the actual problem. The resources and the knowledge that Boone Pain Management has available will drastically help your journey with intense pain. Annie Metzger and Rachael Brashears have become a huge part of my improvement in chronic pain and muscle problems.
