Great unique food! I always crave the delicious deep fried specialties that you can't get anywhere else in the area. The only thing I was really disappointed about was the reduced size of the pastilillos/empanadas. They used to be bigger and worth the price. Love the mofo sauce and wish it came with all the pastelillos. Also, my suggestion for more fresh Puerto Rican veggie options stands. I'd love to see more vegetable options for different plates on the menu, not just deep fried avocados and plantains.

So happy there is a Puerto Rican food place so close to me! Absolutely love Red Rican! I'm from Texas, so when you find a place that feels like food from home, it's a wonderful experience! Absolutely recommend Red Rican if you are looking for authentic Puerto Rican food!

Tried the Birria pastelillo combo and it was the bomb! The flavors are amazing! The Rican sauce is phenomenal and I could put that on anything.

All I can say is amazing! My family and I have ordered from here for the 3rd time now in a week. The food is so good. I’m glad to see something new, authentic, and family owned come to Niles, rather than the same franchise restaurants that normally come to the area. If you haven’t tried, definitely give it a try. We’ve had the pork bowl, chicken bowl, the chicken pastelillo, mofongo cheese balls, and yuca fries, and none of it disappointed. And the Rican sauce taste so good you could pretty much drink it 🤣🤣 And if you want dessert they have the BEST tres leches I’ve ever had!

Outstanding flavor!!! Love how much flavor this had. We got the Cuban sandwich, empanada and a rice bowl (I can’t remember which one) but it was all so good! The sauce with the empanada was also amazing.

The service is very friendly and even though it’s small inside it’s nice to eat there. We are looking forward to the next time we’re in town to try them again!
