Excellent place. First the mac and chees tops the charts. Second they have a beef rib once a week, get it! I saw so many things I wanted so they very kindly gave me an assortment..everything was great. Im not a huge pulled pork fan but hands down they are the best ive ever had. It was so good I would get it all the time if I could.
The Brisket was great..but the best was the jalapeño cheddar sausage....
Go try that

Really awesome experience Hard8 on a weekend with some friends! First time coming to Hard8 despite being in dfw for over 8 years, and was treated really kindly and the manager even brought me a to-go bag when I didn’t even ask for it when he saw I had some to-go boxes on my table. Really attentive to our needs and the place was really well kept and cleaned at all times.

They even have some Mexican style charro beans in a massive pot with floating jalapeños! That was peak BBQ restaurant chef’s kiss! Will continue coming back because of how welcoming the atmosphere feels and their 4 foot charro beans pot!

Truly a 5 star experience. Austin first greeted us and asked if we had any questions. The meat is ordered by weight/ however much you want. They have 2 cutters on two lines that take your order of what you want, then you go inside and grab other sides. The banana pudding and corn are a must, truly the best banana pudding I’ve ever had. The chicken was delicious too. The brisket is so soft and juicy. Truly falls apart. I could not recommend this place enough. There is indoor and outdoor seating with so much helpful staff that grab your dirty trays and clean as they go. The bathroom was clean.

Hard Eight BBQ turned an unexpected overnight stay in Dallas into a memorable meal. Our flight was delayed and we needed somewhere close to the airport, and this place was exactly what we were hoping for.
We sampled several items from the pit, including the brisket, ribs, turkey, jalapeño cheese sausage, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp and chicken. The brisket was my favorite—tender, flavorful, and everything you expect from authentic Texas BBQ. The jalapeño cheese sausage was a pleasant surprise, packed with flavor without being overly spicy. The ribs and turkey were both excellent, and the bacon-wrapped shrimp and chicken were another highlight of the meal.
For sides, we tried the sweet corn and onion rings. Both were good, but the sweet corn was definitely our favorite and paired perfectly with the smoked meats.
The atmosphere has a very authentic Texas vibe, and you can tell this is the real deal. Watching the pit and choosing your meats cafeteria-style adds to the experience.
If you find yourself spending an unexpected night near DFW Airport because of a delayed flight—as happened to us—this is the place to go. Great food, great atmosphere, and a true taste of Texas. Highly recommended!

If you’re looking for a sign to eat your body weight in smoked meats, this is it.

I walked into Hard Eight BBQ and was immediately greeted by the "pit master greeting party," which is basically the best red-carpet experience a human can have. Choosing what to eat while standing over those pits is a high-stakes decision-making process that requires serious mental fortitude.

Here is the breakdown of the heavy hitters:
The Brisket: I’m convinced they use magic because it’s tender enough to be a pillow but way too delicious to sleep on. It has that perfect bark that makes you want to write a thank-you note to the cow.

The Spicy Cheese Sausage: This should come with a warning label. It’s got a kick that wakes you up and enough cheese to make a Wisconsinite weep with joy. It’s a snap-in-your-mouth masterpiece.

The Ribs: These are "meat candy." They don’t even require teeth—you basically just look at them intensely and the meat falls right off the bone.

The atmosphere is pure Texas, the service is fast, and the free beans are the ultimate "little treat" to round out the meal. Just a heads-up: wear your "ambitious" pants (the ones with the stretchy waistband). You’re going to need them.

5/5 stars. I’ll be back as soon as I can physically move again.
