Shumaker Roofing replaced my roof approximately 2 years ago. The communication was perfect, I knew what they were doing and when. When the job was completed I was extremely happy with it. A few weeks after, they came back to check the roof and ended up replacing multiple shingles that they said they were not happy with. Not being a professional roofer I did not see any issues but they did and I feels that shows the integrity of the company. They did the job quickly and did a great job of cleaning up afterwards. If you need a roof I would recommend this company.

After having roof damage from winter storms Don Stillwagon came out and inspected in great detail. Together Tyler Schisler and Don gave me several estimates. I decided whole roof replacement. He walked me through everything in detail.
The roofing crew was amazing. Efficient, organized, detail oriented. Very nice crew. Cleanup was perfect. Great quality roofing job!
Tyler and Don both kept me updated on install dates and both came out to check on install of roof. Pleasure to work with them. I highly recommend Shumaker Roofing Co. Inc.
Thank you so much. Sincerely Lucenda Poffenberger

Don Stillwagon was the project manager for my roof in Waynesboro. I can't say enough good things. The communication was great, and his crew's craftsmanship was excellent. Most of all though, Don was patient and understanding. The job took twice as long as he was expecting, but he showed no signs of frustration and was more than fair on the price. If you need a roof done around Waynesboro, Don is your guy.

We had been using Shumaker Roofing for many years and were very satisfied with their work. We had them install Certainteed 30 year shingles on the back half our our roof in 2004.

In 2020 (16 years later), a Shumaker salesman quoting replacement of the front half of the roof told us we should consider replacing the shingles on the back half of the roof due to wear. After we pointed out that they were installed by Shumaker and were supposed to last 30 years, Shumaker contacted the manufacturer who sent a rep and told us they looked OK.

In 2023 we had another contractor do some work that included gutter and drip edge, noted the back roof needed replacement soon. Contacted Shumaker again, asked for inspection and recommendation. Some workers from Shumaker came out and did some minor repairs, but would not tell me if the back roof needed to be replaced. I called Shumaker multiple times leaving messages, but they never returned my calls.

I never did get an answer as to if they thought the back side roof needed replacement. Totally ghosted me. I tried to be patient with them, but in the end I feel that the shingles should have been replaced under warrantee in 2020.

Bottom line, they do great work, but don't expect any support with warrantee issues.

I had an excellent experience with Shumaker Roofing Co. from start to finish. The team was professional, responsive, friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and they truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was done to the highest standard and to make sure we understood the process every step of the way.

What stood out most was outstanding communication and quick response times. Don was with us every step of the way. Since our repair was wrapping up right before Christmas, he made sure to put us in the great care of Tyler (the owner of the company) to be available for us while he was traveling to his family for the holidays. As a customer care representative myself, I found the experience top notch and the entire process stress-free, seamless, and enjoyable, which is rare to find.

I’m extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend Shumaker Roofing Co. to anyone looking for roof repair/replacement. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again on other projects like my gutter and window replacements.

Don was competent, honest, and sincere, and went above and beyond to help. He came by on short notice and very thoroughly explained everything I needed to know and more. Clear communication and an overall enjoyable interaction. Don't be deterred if an AI bot answers the phone if things are busy - a real person will promptly call you back, and you'll feel lucky for getting to work with Don.

We just had a total roof replacement by Shumaker. They were much more detailed in their evaluation of our roofing needs than other bidders and included more work for the price. Their workmanship was excellent with a very hard-working crew who even worked until dark one night in a race against the weather. We are very happy with the result.

This is the third time I’ve used Shumaker and they’re hands-down one of the best companies I’ve ever worked with. We had a tree fall on our roof and they were really easy to work with and very fast with completing the work. We also had a dormer we had to fix from a storm and a leaking gutter. Jon is incredible. He communicates well, shares frequent updates, and advocates for his customer. I’m so grateful to work with this company and I’ll use them again in the future. I can’t recommend them enough.

Had them come out for a quote on our townhouse. A gentleman named Victor had come out to take a look. He was very thorough and knowledgeable, and explained everything he saw to me. He went into detail about everything he saw in the attic as well. Great experience, highly recommend!!

Fast, courteous, and professional. I submitted a inquiry for a quote and was called to schedule an appointment moments later. The whole process was smooth and pain free on my end. I would definitely recommend them and will be looking to them for any work in the future. I have had both my roof and gutters replaced by Shumaker Roofing Co.

Excellent. Professional. Clear communications. From the first call and getting a wonderful employee who explained everything and took time to answer all of my questions, to the roofer. When Schumaker knew a storm was coming, they came the day before. The expert roofer provided a clear assessment and, made corrections the same day. Highly recommended. Hard to find dedicated, hard working professionals, and their entire crew are commended.

I had the pleasure of working with Sean on getting my roof replaced. He was so helpful from the first time we spoke until the very end! He explained everything perfectly and went over everything in detail. We are very happy with the work that Shumaker roofing and Sean did for us. The staff was pleasant and when they came to the house they made sure we were happy with the roof. I highly recommend them to anyone who is in need of a roof. Sean is professional and has a good sense of humor!
