Yeah I just left and was very clearly followed around by one of their employees. They have a security/ greeter up front and still had this older Asian man blatantly follow me and my little sister around the store. Tried to hide it but then I caught him staring me down and following me for 2 more aisles. Y’all see two younger Hispanic women and just make assumptions? Maybe follow up on your employee training because that was an insane experience. 0/0 if I could rate below one star.

I am writing to share an uncomfortable experience I had during my recent visit to one of your HomeGoods locations. When I was checking out, the cashier asked if I would like to make a donation. I politely declined, but he continued to insist even after I had already said no.
This made me feel pressured and uncomfortable, especially at the end of a long day when I simply wanted to shop peacefully. I understand that stores often participate in charitable campaigns, but customers should never feel pushed or guilted into donating.
If this happened to me, I imagine other customers may be experiencing the same thing. I hope the company can address this and ensure employees are not pressuring customers into donations.
Because of this experience, I no longer feel comfortable recommending HomeGoods to others, and I will be taking my business elsewhere for the time being.
Thank you for taking the time to review my concern. I hope this feedback helps improve the customer experience moving forward.

As a frequent shopper of HomeGoods at San Carlos, I had the most unpleasant experience at this particular store.
I was purchasing two chairs and when I went to checkout, I requested that one of the managers inspect the furniture since one of them was cheaper than the other. I wanted to solve this discrepancy and buy the chairs at the correct price, which shouldn't be much of an issue. However, when one of the managers came to solve said issue, they were nothing but rude, dismissive, and very inattentive to the matter. It seemed like I was a hassle to them even though the line was pretty empty. The problem was very easy to solve, but the rude customer service by the manager left me disheartened to come back. As someone who's a manager in the field of customer service, I know this isn't how you're supposed to handle customers.
Apart from the managers, the workers at this location were a pleasure to talk to, and helped me accordingly and professionally. I would suggest not shopping at this location until management is fixed. I never write reviews but I thought I should write this.

Finally a HomeGoods in the Peninsula! The store is clean, and well-organized. I feel like they have lots of staff, as I always saw a bunch of staff either restocking, re-organizing, wiping shelves, etc. It’s Christmas time, so the store is in full festive mode right now. My only complaint is since the store is new, it doesn’t have any clearance stuff yet (which is actually my fav isle at HomeGoods 😂 so I’m just gonna patiently wait until I see the first red tag). Also when I visited, the store looked super dark, but I suppose it’s because I normally went near closing time (~9pm) so it’s ok
