Andreja was absolutely amazing! She was kind, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Her attention to detail, friendly attitude, and excellent customer service made the entire experience wonderful. If you’re visiting Molly’s Bloom, I highly recommend asking for Andreja. Thank you for making it such a great experience!

We recently went to Molly Bloom’s for dinner. The live entertainment was amazing and was definitely the highlight of the evening. The food was good, but nothing exceptional for the price.

We ordered a Greek pasta salad, a club sandwich with the fries substituted for a Caesar salad, two bowls of soup, and two soft drinks. Our bill came to $74.22 before tip.

The biggest issue was the unexpected charge for the Caesar salad. We were charged an extra $7 to substitute it for the fries, but this was never listed anywhere on the menu. When we questioned the charge, the manager simply walked away without addressing our concern, and our server’s response was, “That’s the way we do it here.”

As a paying customer, I don’t think that’s the right way to handle the situation. If there’s an additional charge for substitutions, it should be clearly stated on the menu so customers know before ordering.

The entertainment was fantastic, but the customer service and lack of transparency about pricing left a bad impression. In my opinion, it’s overpriced for the quality of the food, and unfortunately, I won’t be returning for dinner.

extremely disappointed by the way i was treated by the owner of this establishment.

my friends and i have been attending the trivia night (shoutout to the Eds) hosted by this place for over two years now, and i have held a very positive view of molly bloom’s irish pub until today.

the waitress had mentioned that my group (of seven people) would need to order something during the night, which we all already knew, but it was especially emphasized because the owner of the pub was sitting next to our table. i knew that this wouldn’t be a problem, as my group typically orders drinks/pop and a meal/appetizer each.

unfortunately, the opportunity to order did not happen at all throughout the night. i had heeded the waitress’s warning and wanted to order food while the trivia ran, and especially at the halfway point of the trivia, but our waitress was nowhere to be seen. even if she did somehow appear at our table during this time, i did not notice since we had a longer table and we were placed right next to the speaker/Eds. in addition, she had only given us 2 cups, when 4 of us had asked for water, and when i asked if she could bring some more cups, she did not bring any at all. the lack of attention and urgency from this waitress was disappointing.

when 9 o’clock struck, i desperately wanted to order something (as there are a few good appetizers that are sold for a good price then! i would definitely recommend the poutine bites) but yet again after scanning the room, i could not find our waitress.

in my opinion, i should not have to get up from my table and hound down my waitress so the people at my table can order. or even when the waitress did come, she only stood at one end of the table, and i was not able to notice if she was standing there because again, i was placed right next to the very loud speaker and seated at the other end of the table. how am i supposed to place an order if the waitress keeps disappearing and never checks in?

at the end of the night once everyone paid, i was confronted by the owner of this pub. she spoke down to me like i was a child and told me that it was a waste of money and bad for business that people at my table didn’t order anything. she threatened me with the information that she had to pay the wages for the waitresses, the trivia people, and all the other staff. i found this extremely condescending and rude. keep in mind, only one of the seven people in my group hadn’t ordered anything, and this was mainly due to the waitress coming twice at the very start of the night to the side of the table they were sitting at.

the fact that this owner was watching our table like a hawk throughout the night, berated me at the end, and made me feel extremely uncomfortable made me sincerely regret all of the money i had spent at this establishment over the past 2 years.

i would not recommend coming here - there are much better places (and definitely cheaper) in uptown waterloo with owners that will not treat you as if you were a misbehaving child. this was a big reality check on how Molly Bloom’s Irish Pub treats a very loyal customer.

I've been going here for years and they gladly took a former KickOffs faithful. It's not KickOffs but it has better food and a decent selection of taps. It can be a little overwhelming when it gets packed in there for sporting events so please bear with them.

Visited Molly Bloom’s Irish Pub and had a genuinely memorable experience. The atmosphere is warm and unpretentious, with a comfortable, casual pub feel that makes it easy to settle in. What stood out most was the service—our waiter was exceptionally kind, attentive, and genuinely caring without ever being intrusive. It made the whole visit feel welcoming and relaxed.

I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich, a simple dish that can easily be overlooked, but here it was executed beautifully. The bread was perfectly toasted, with a satisfying crunch, and the cheese was melted to a rich, creamy consistency. It’s impressive how a humble menu item can be elevated with such attention to detail.

Overall, this was a reminder that great dining experiences don’t always require complexity. Thoughtful service and careful preparation of even simple food can leave a lasting impression. I would happily return and recommend it to others without hesitation.
