I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hometown Veterinary! From the moment we walked in, I knew Mellow was in good hands.

A huge thank you to Katelynn, our vet tech. She handled Mellow with so much patience, kindness, and compassion. When she needed to swab his ears, she never rushed or forced him. She let him pause whenever he needed a second, and we worked together to gently hold his head while she made sure he was as comfortable as possible. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about his well-being, and Mellow responded so well to her calm approach. This was only our second day with Mellow after adopting him, so we really didn’t know how he would react or behave at the vet. Katelynn’s patience and gentle demeanor made what could have been a stressful experience feel calm and positive for both of us.

Dr. Chiu was equally incredible. The first thing that stood out to me was that instead of standing over Mellow, she sat on the floor with him for the entire exam. That simple gesture immediately put both of us at ease and showed how much she genuinely cares about making her patients feel comfortable. She is exceptionally knowledgeable and took the time to answer every question I had, even questions that weren’t directly related to Mellow’s appointment. She explained everything thoroughly in a way that made me feel informed and confident in the care my dog was receiving. I never once felt rushed or dismissed.

The moment they took Mellow to the back to have his ears flushed, I realized something I hadn’t experienced before—I wasn’t worried at all. I had complete trust that they were going to take excellent care of him, and that peace of mind is priceless.

I also want to give a huge shoutout to the front desk staff. They were welcoming, friendly, and helpful from the moment we walked through the door. They made us feel comfortable right away and helped create such a positive experience from start to finish.

Finding a vet team you trust with your pet is invaluable, and I can honestly say I found that here. The compassion, professionalism, patience, and knowledge shown by everyone—from the front desk staff to Katelynn and Dr. Chiu—exceeded every expectation I had. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet team that truly treats your pet like one of their own. And you can’t tell me based on this picture, that mellow did not have an amazing time.

👎 Unfortunately, on Friday this was the only vet available to see. My dog was experiencing joint pain. The nurse was friendly, but not thorough. The Veterinarian was not only rude, but condescending. I was charged for a full exam, $75, They did not fully examine my dog. They did not check his ears. They did not check his eyes and failed to check him from nose to tail . Had they truly performed a nose to tail exam they would have addressed another concern I raised,. However, in the summary they stated my dog had periodontal disease, heart problems, and another list of things that my dog has never had in his life nor does he now, I have taken him to the same veterinarian for the past 9 years and they are Honest and wonderful. It was unfortunate they were booked on Friday.
The vet at Hometown was only interested in the up sale. It has been 4 days and my dog has not improved even with the three medication‘s prescribed and the diet change, which I challenged. And I will be challenging the full exam cost with them in person. $75 sounds like a fair price if and only if they actually do the full exam And, to send a summary that includes things that are false , is not only disheartening, but I will check with whoever governs Veterinarian practices and see what that entails as far as their accountability, Integrity and responsibility. Hometown Vet has no right to put summary notes that are not true and incorrect about my dog. For another example, stating he has periodontal disease when they never even looked in his mouth. The list is endless. My dog is back at our trusted veterinarian because we have seen zero improvement. They also suggested x-rays and an echocardiogram for his heart problem, which he does not have. His heartbeat may have been irregular because they took him out of the room when I requested for blood work to be done in the room with me. $600 later and zero improvement. Please do not take your pet here.. I understand they are in “business to make money”, but do not put fear In the patient and their parent, especially failing to perform a full exam and making up summaries that are not true. Please save your dog’s health, your peace of mind and money, do NOT go to this place.

I went to this vet for the first time last week and unfortunately had the worst news given to me possible. We had to put my young dog down for an issue we had no idea was going on. The vet, all the technicians, front desk folks were all so incredibly kind during this horrific process. They were extremely upfront about pricing and it was very reasonable. One of the technicians even helped and played with my toddler as I went in the back to be with my poor boy while he was put down. They were incredibly gracious and I cannot thank them enough for how they handled this situation. I will be going back for all of my existing dog’s needs.

The best vet ever. The vet and staff all work as a team and we were in and out even though our dog had complex health issues. No wait time. The place is the cleanest vet office ive seen.

We came all the way down from loris and it was so worth it. We have an old rescue dog with health issues. He got sick in car on the way and the nice lady at the front desk saw me cleaning up the back seat and immediately got me cleaning supplies and towels to clean the mess. She was incredible and perfect for her job as we were nervous and she was calm and helpful.

The techs were great and the vet, Dr. Chiu was the best. I was so impressed with the education we received. Me and my husband joked after that we wish our own physician had that good bedside manner. She explained everything in easy terms and genuinely wanted the best for our dog. Really the whole team did.

Something else that stuck out to me was that it wasn't a hassle for us to get a prescription through chewey as they handled it electronically with the pharmacy after we put in the order so we did not have to mail in the script.

We will be back and I would recommend you bring your
Pet here .

Dr. Chiu, won me over on Saturday, January 10, when my beloved, domestic short hair—cat, Einstein was in her care for approximately four hours. Prior to the visit, she discussed thoroughly, what my options were to have a good outcome for Einstein. After his procedure, I was welcomed back to talk with Dr. Chiu. She was most kind, compassionate, intelligent, and thoroughly ‘loves her job! ‘ She spent a lot of time with me reviewing the procedure, the outcome and any future needs… AND she listened carefully about my financial issues. She went above and beyond 😻 I will return because of her!! Thank you, Dr. Chiu.

I switched my dogs over to Hometown Veterinary Partners about a year ago, and it has truly been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my pets.
From the moment you walk through the door, you feel genuinely welcomed. My dogs are never treated like “just another appointment” — they are always made a priority. The entire team takes the time to provide the quality care and attention I look for when it comes to my animals.
They are incredibly patient, thorough, and always take the time to talk me through everything, making sure I leave with a full understanding of what’s going on with my pets. That level of care and communication means more to me than I can put into words.
I honestly cannot say enough good things about the amazing people at Hometown Veterinary Partners. I am so grateful to have a veterinary team I trust completely with my dogs.

I called as an out of town person who needed help with a laceration on my dogs leg. They fit me in, triaged my issue and provided clear and direct guidance on what should be done. I cannot thank the entire staff enough for the quality of care (and compassion) they provided. If I lived here, this would be my regular vet. Figment says thank you!!

Until my recent visit with my female cat, I was pleased with this practice. After paying a $900 bill for dental services, with no extractions included and advisement that dental specialist in Mt Pleasant is the only recommendation given, I have decided to discontinue bringing my three cats to this practice. Very disappointed in lack of follow-up, concern, etc... Bill got paid and that is all that matters.

Our initial appointment for an annual exam was scheduled for 12:00 PM. At 9:34 AM on appointment day we received an email from the office stating our appointment was moved to 12:30 PM. We arrived on time (12:30pm) and were taken to the screening room, but after waiting over 30 minutes with no communication from anyone, we decided to leave. We had no idea whether we’d been forgotten or how much longer we would be waiting.

This level of service is unacceptable for anyone, especially with no updates or explanation regarding the delay. We are very disappointed, as we have always received excellent care for our pet in the past.

We absolutely love Hometown Veterinary partners! They will sit on the floor and love on our dogs Finnegan and Poppy and treat them like family. Dr Chiu, Brandi, Melissa, Tracey and Rachel have all been very welcoming, kind and patient with not only our dogs but with a very nervous dog mom. They take the time to sit and talk with you and answer all your questions. We have had quite a few scary moments when the dogs have gotten into things they shouldn’t and they didn’t hesitate and told us to bring them right in. We will always use Hometown for our Veterinary needs!

Every time I take my cat Fiona, it is the best experience. The entire staff is amazing and so kind. “Q” is an amazing doctor, she explains things thoroughly and really cares about your pets. Brandi is amazing as well (we unfortunately we missed her today). I am so grateful to them and all they do!
