I was sent from Family Eye Med and I was worked in. The receptionist was so very nice, she greeted me by name as I walked in. From the walk in all the way to finish with Doctor was so easy. I hadn't expected to end up at another office since I only went to Dr with a concern before an out of town vacation. Thank you, this is the way visits should be. Martha Merritt

From my first visit, my evaluation for cataract surgery, I have had nothing but a pleasant experience. I can say,without hesitation, that I am very happy that my optometrist sent me to Southeast Eye Specialists to have my procedure done.
Dr Haddad was open and honest with me and guided me to my decision with patience and compassion, even though I had virtually lost the vision in my left eye as a child, and totally without pressure to "book" my procedure. All of my questions and concerns were thoroughly addressed and then I was given all the time I needed to make an informed decision. Lara helped me every step of the way through scheduling and assisting me in choosing the procedure that would benefit me the most. I can also say that, had I chose a less costly procedure, I feel confident in saying that there never would have been any judgement nor any scenario left unexplored. Thanks, Lara!!!
Yesterday, May 22, 2026, I went to Northridge Surgery Center in Hendersonville, TN to have my surgery done. Absolutely everyone that I came in contact with was pleasant, patient, and completely helpful even though this all began before 6:00 AM. the front desk was ready for me and very helpful. The nursing staff that guided me through pre-op was thorough and reassuring and could not have been nicer. Dr. Mathew Hartman walked me through all that was about to take place and answered all of my questions and I was also pleased to find that he was a man of God as well as a man of medicine.
My cataract surgery went quite well and in a, seemingly, short time I was out of recovery and we were on our way home to begin healing. The eye that was operated on was a bit "scratchy", as they told me it might be but, by the end of the day that was gone. The vision in that eye seemed cloudy, almost like you would want to clean a smudge off of your glasses. This morning, May 23, the scratchy feeling was totally gone as was the "smudge" that I seemed to be looking through. Now for the good part. Post surgery, I was looking at a blurry television and really couldn't read anything. This morning, 24 hours later, my vision is totally clear, there are no after effects that I know to report, and (best of all!) I no longer need my bi-focals or readers to read anything I have tried to read. I cannot wait to get the other eye done!
Thank you to every person at Southeast Eye Specialists, that has helped me through this journey. I am so happy to see clearly and read without glasses. I am amazed at the vibrant colors that this procedure has allowed me to see. I had almost forgotten how blue the sky really is, how green the grass and trees are and the bright blue eyes of my beautiful wife.
Would I recommend Southeast Eye Specialists, You better believe that I would!! If there were more than 5 stars, they would get them from me!

Dr Hartman was great as was the whole team I had. I would recommend them and would use them again. This was my first cataract, I didn't know what to expect, but there was no pain, I was awake the whole time, didn't feel a thing. It was a great experience. Dr. prayed over me and that meant more to me than anything.
