I recently had LASIK surgery with Dr. Cohen at Cohen Eye Institute, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From my initial consultation through the surgery and recovery, the entire team was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely attentive.

The staff took the time to perform multiple detailed scans and evaluations to ensure I was a good candidate and that every aspect of the procedure was carefully planned. Throughout the process, communication was excellent, and every question I had was answered thoroughly.

Dr. Cohen was outstanding. He took the time to explain the procedure, set clear expectations, and made me feel completely comfortable and confident. His calm and caring approach made a big difference.

I flew all the way to see Dr. Cohen from Bloomington, Minnesota in April 2026. I was told that Dr. Cohen handles complex cases. I had lasik in 1999 which left many aberrations on my cornea, and my cataract was hyper mature. I was extremely nervous for my cataract surgery. Prior to meeting Dr. Cohen, I had met with multiple other doctors who left me feeling uncertain regarding my potential outcome. After my initial exam and meeting with Dr. Cohen, I immediately felt confident in my treatment plan and was at ease. He has state of the art equipment to ensure he measures the correction properly and his staff are absolutely outstanding. Shoshana, Kelly Anne, Dr. Chen, are all kind, and wonderfully helpful. I am flying soon to get my second eye surgery in June and I am looking forward to restoring my vision. Excellent Experience and Outstanding Results!
I had cataract surgery with implantation of Vivity Toric EDOF lenses performed by Dr. Ilan Cohen at Cohen Eye Institute (New Jersey office).
From the very beginning, everything was top-notch: caring and professional staff, clear explanations, and the latest technology (LensX laser). The surgery itself was quick and comfortable.
On day 4 after my left eye surgery, my vision is already significantly better than before the operation. Colors are bright, distance vision is good, and although there is still some mild blur (which the doctor explained is normal due to temporary corneal swelling), I’m confident it will continue to improve over the next 1–2 weeks.
I’m extremely grateful to Dr. Cohen and the entire team for their professionalism, attention to detail, and for using the most advanced lenses and techniques available.
If you’re considering cataract surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Ilan Cohen without hesitation. I’m very happy with the results and would choose him again in a heartbeat!

I could not be happier with Dr. Cohen and his staff. I flew from California to New Jersey to have cataract surgery on both eyes. I know my friends thought I was crazy. I had many consultations after a failed laser surgery for vision correction. After consulting with Dr. Cohen, there was no question regarding his skill, genuine care for his patients and trustworthiness.

My cataract premium laser lens replacement was painless and was completed quickly in a very clean and pleasant atmosphere. The procedure was explained in detail prior to the procedure. I went from unable to drive to almost perfect vision, so I claim Dr. Cohen as my SUPERHERO! I regained my freedom!🫶🏻

Dr Cohen and Dr Chen are great at Cohen Eye Institute. I am having my cataracts corrected with laser surgery and I like the results. I can read better and see items at a distance that I wasn't able to see. Dr Cohen did the surgery and he thoroughly explained the procedure & set my mind at ease. His staff is kind and caring throughout the procedure at the Campus Eye Group and at his office in Old Bridge at Cohen Eye Institute. Shoshana the Surgical coordinator walked me thru the process & the options for financing with kindness & professionalism. Dr Chen is my regular eye doctor & she did the followup. Dr Chen has such a reassuring manner & great personality. I would recommend Dr Cohen, Dr Chen and their staff's service for all your eye care needs they are the best.

Dr. Cohen is an absolute master in his field. He treats his patients with the utmost care and explains everything fully and calmly. The instructions of what you as the patient need to do before and after cataract surgery is so understandable and through. I think most people are concerned about any type of eye surgery, it is a scary thought. So was I. But I have never had a better medical experience. Dr. Cohen and his staff were personable, efficient, and reassuring. The organization and process was very impressive. My own experience was 100 % pain free with the worst being a nearly imperceptible pin prick for anesthesia. I travel ed 1 hr each way for every visit and I’m glad I did. I now have 20/20 vision for the first time in my life. Thank you, Dr. Cohen, and staff!

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Cohen Eye Institute and cannot recommend them highly enough. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the entire team. The staff is incredibly friendly, warm, and supportive, which immediately puts you at ease. They are also extremely knowledgeable and provide excellent customer service, answering all my questions patiently.
The star of the show for me was Dr. Chen. I have been struggling with a difficult dry eye issue for a long time, and she is the first doctor to finally resolve it for me. She is, hands down, the best eye doctor I have ever been to.
What I appreciate most about Dr. Chen is that she never rushes you. She takes her time to genuinely listen to all of your concerns and is so thorough in her explanations.
