I would recommend Queens Retirement Home in a heartbeat. The people who work there are wonderful, from Linda at the front reception to Michelle, the Community Relations Manager to Bridget the head nurse and all her team. Everyone is friendly and supportive. The food is awesome as well. My Dad has been there for 5 years and absolutely loves his home. You can feel confident with your loved one at Queens.

I have lived here at this residence for 4 years coming July 2026.
Staff all helpful & very friendly, very comfortable here , & feel it’s very safe as you age. There is also assisted living available if needed as you age.
It is a very clean building with housekeeping staff available for light housekeeping weekly if desired.
There are many daily activities to attend at your preference & leisure or can be in your own suite for private time.
I like the fact that we have a fully equipped kitchen in our suites as I still like to cook & bake for myself or quests.
We have a meal plan in the dining room downstairs as well for residents who don’t want to cook for themselves , or who may just want to attend meals on occasion , & special meals for all residents on special occasions. I still drive as well & very happy to have safe underground parking as well.
There is often entertainment available & vendors come in on occasion to shop for those that don’t drive.
Many day trips often planned & available for residents to shop or eat out at different restaurants around town etc.
We have a nurses station available 24 hours a day & lifeline button available in case needed in any emergency, day or night.
There are several other amenities included as well , nice clean laundry rooms on each floor, good maintenance personal when required, nice grounds & outdoor settings with nice summer furniture for all residents to use & public balconies on each floor or some private ones in some suites.
I intend to live out rest of my life here among many friends & friendly helpful staff , as I am very content here in my one bedroom suite, have everything I need & more.
I forgot to add that I have my own personal balcony now & I love it.
I have planted many flowers to enjoy in my private time as I do miss all the gardens I previously planted in my own home, & love sitting out to enjoy them but much less work in my gardens here for me now .

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Queen’s retirement home. My mom has been here for 3 years. She suffers from dementia and they take such good care of her. Shout out to Linda at the front desk, Nicole doing all the wonderful social activities, Bridget, Andrea and all the loving nurses/PSW’s. Luisa,Mae
and all the cleaning staff.
All the restaurant staff who make meal
Time so enjoyable.
Everyone has taken such good care of her.
I highly recommend Queens

Mom has been at queens for over 10 years and despite the change in ownership, one thing remains positive- the people. The staff are caring and dedicated. They have become family. The new chef is updating the meals which was needed. They are some of the largest suites in Ontario so downsizing not so difficult. They allow some pets which brings happiness to many. If a service is n/a, they work on a replacement.

The best senior residence I have ever come across till today. It’s not about fancy and luxurious 5 star hotel amenities, it’s about the energy and the vibe speaks about the place the moment you enter. The staff is so courteous, helpful , graceful with big smiles and most importantly very welcome. I met Michelle , the community relation manager today to talk about some wellness practises. She is such an amazing person and with so much patience she explained and talked about the functioning of this residence it was beyond expectations. The most touching part in her conversation was the main aim of her the owners of this residence is to see every senior in their residence should be HAPPY. That speaks all . My hearts ❤️❤️

I cannot say enough good things about this Seniors Residence. We were greeted by the Administrator, Michelle Ferrari, who was so very nice and understanding. She sat down and explained everything about her Residence then gave us an indepth tour of the home. l felt so confident that we were doing the right thing having my Mom live at Livita Gardens. Since moving in, everyone has been so accommodating, going way out of their way. It started as soon as Michelle greeted us at the door, Linda, at the Front Desk, Bridget the Nurse, the PSW's, Catering staff, Henry in Maintenance and so many more Staff. We really feel like Family!
Thank you, Michelle!

I have to say that my first impression of Livita Queens Avenue Retirement Residence was phenomenal, to say the least. If this is what shopping for a great living facility for an elderly parent is, I was blown away with how detailed and down-to-earth our discussion was with Michelle Ferrara, the Community Relations Manager. She presented multiple options to us and went above & beyond to explain their facility in it's entirety, even going past her own regular hours to do so. Thank you for helping us feel at ease and giving us a clearer perspective.

My mom has lived at Queens for 10 years. She has needed more care in the last two years and has received excellent care. The staff are lovely and really make a difference every day! I would highly recommend Queens.

Our mom Lise has been a resident at Queens for 23 years. When she first arrived she considered herself a "junior" senior. As the years have passed, mom is definitely a "senior" senior with cognitive and mobility issues. The staff at Queens' have been exceptional in their care of mom over the years, particularly these last two years when her care requirements have increased. The staff work well as a team to ensure their residents feel at home and safe. I would highly recommend Queens Avenue Retirement to anyone looking for a loving, caring environment for their loved ones.

We have a close family friend who just turned 90 in March. She has lived in the Queens Avenue Retirement Residence (QARR) for over 10 years and has been extremely happy there. I am her POA and, at long last, have had to move her to a Long-Term Care Facility due to health Issues that could not be handled at QARR . The preparation for this event was in process for almost 2 years and was an extremely difficult and sad event for both of us but, thanks to the QARR Staff we were able to make it happen with minimum effort and problems. As follow up, several the QARR staff are making visits to cheer her on in her new location and environment.
QARR has been a God Send over the years especially after the death of her husband a few years ago. They helped her to adjust to her new life without her husband and went above and beyond to watched over her closely to ensure all was ok.
In the years that I have visited our family friend at QARR (4-8 times per month), I have found that the staff are a fantastic group of people that are extremely happy, helpful and caring. Not only do they take care of the day to day local duties but, they also take it upon themselves that make sure everyone stays happy and well cared for.
Here are just a few of the things that make QARR an outstanding place to live:
Administrative staff that watch, listen and try to understand and advise on everyone’s individual situation and needs. This includes coordination with family/friends, external nonfamily care givers and, various outside organizations including government, private and, volunteer that help to ensure that the residents are getting the best care possible.
A nursing staff that takes care of the day to day health issues, medication dispensing where necessary and, coordinating/notifying family, family doctors and, higher level medical authority/providers where necessary.
A cleaning staff that ensures that the apartments are well cared for and clean and that also act to monitor the wellbeing of the residents.
Maintenance Staff that ensure that everything in the building and the apartments are in good working order.
Kitchen Staff that strive for excellence in the preparation and, palatability of meals as well as and preparation of the daily/weekly menus, ensuring sufficient food variety for every ones satisfaction.
Activity Staff that make sure there are plenty of daily activities planned for varied interests, this includes a monthly day by day Activity Calendar, special events and outings.
Areas set aside for residents include: Rec room, Library, meeting rooms, as well as many open spaces to sit and talk. Each floor has a balcony.
Weather permitting, walkways and green areas outside the building make for sitting out doors or just taking a stroll.
The building has easy wheelchair/walker accessibility
Close proximity to Oakville Place, 8-10 minutes’ walk, 5 minutes by scooter, 3 minutes by Uber or, Special Vehicle Transport. Many of the residents find this a convenient place for shopping, eating out, enjoying a cup of coffee or, just hanging out.
Note: Some of the things mentioned above may involve paid services or may have a participation fee. Consult with Queens Avenue Retirement Residence for specifics.
