Trash company been without propane for 6 days now 1/25/2026 - 1/31/2026 they don’t care about the customer just the money. They let me run out 4 times last year and the year before. If you depend on gas to heat your home don’t depend on this company to deliver.

We have an automatic fill propane account with Pinnacle Propane, previously Collin’s Propane. We never experienced problems prior to the change in ownership.

The last refill on our tank was in late October. Pinnacle uses an electronic monitoring system that incorrectly indicated the tank was still about half full. In reality, the tank ran completely empty.

On Saturday, during a severe cold weather event in Texas, our heat stopped working even though our electricity remained on. After checking the tank ourselves, we discovered there was no propane left. This left us without heat starting Saturday and continuing through Sunday and now into Monday, with the home reaching dangerously cold temperatures.

As an automatic fill customer, we rely on the company to track usage and refill the tank before it runs out. That did not happen. We contacted Pinnacle immediately on Saturday and were told service was not possible due to road conditions, despite the company being located less than half a mile from our home. Since then, communication on their end has been nonexistent, and the office is now closed due to weather.

A propane provider should have systems and contingency plans in place to prevent customers from losing heat during extreme weather. This experience has been unacceptable and concerning.

UPDATE: I stopped at the FM544 location in Wylie last Friday and although the business was open, the LP gas refill area was marked closed. I called the local number a couple of times and they're not answering and I got forwarded to their customer care group, who indicated the local office is not answering calls. This is not the first time my calls get forwarded to their national customer care. I'm not sure if this is this location's policy to forward calls. I just needed LP gas refill.

I was finally able to refill my LP gas tank yesterday and upgraded my rating. The lady at the office was really friendly. I'm hoping the next time I need to contact the business that they will answer.

Horrible service when it matters. Even with the tank reader they let my tank run low. I have explained 50 times that my heaters do not operate when the tank is below 15%. Here we are again in the 30s and no heat. I called 1st thing this morning asked for a emergency refill they said they would get back to me. I got home at 4pm still no gas in hold for an hour, requested call back and still nothing. I must not be the only one out of propane. Collins never let this happen. Unfortunately the only other option is Amerigas and they outsource their calls to India now so I will have to stick with the lesser of two horrible customer services.
