The work was done promptly, to be fair. The problem is that now, about two years later, there is significant settling of where the trench was dug, due to, likely, improper backfill compaction. Typically, the lift is filled in about foot deep sections, with compaction done at each layer. Not sure that was done in our case. Now, we have significant settling, causing issues with the porch (which does not even have any footings over the trench, as we wanted to be careful as not to place any load over the trench) and, potentially another area of the house close to where the sewer pipe was dug out. Also, the section of the pipe going through the slab was not wrapped in a thin layer of foam to isolate it from the slab movement, which this area of town is notorious for. Hopefully, that does not lead to issues as well. So, quick to show up and do the work, but be aware of potential issues down the road.

2026-10-20: Randy did come out and re-scoped the main line and said there were no issues with the line/drainage of the line. But, yes, even he stated that there were compaction issues. This past weekend we had to spend time digging up landscaping, taking pieces off the front porch, climbing under the porch and installing jacks to lift the said porch (as well as fixing some other carpentry near the porch). And the footings for the said porch were a few feet away from the trench. So not only did the trench settle severely, but it was to the point of where the dirt from the side of the trench shifted and dropped sideways, toward the trench. Conservative estimate to fix the issue from "a guy off the street" - a few thousand bucks these days? Adding a star back in for Randy's professionalism and the good work on the pipe itself, but do wish that the crews would actually take the compaction of the dirt seriously. Believe it or not - there is some science and art to it.

They did a full sewer line replacement to the main line in the street. Got done in one day. Only small complaint, communication could be much better. And at the best price I could fine.

The most honest company I've ever worked with! Could not recommend more.

I had a mysterious leak in my basement that insurance thought was due to a sewer pipe leak. I have three companies come out to take a look and 2 said there was nothing wrong but they'd recommend me doing 10-20K of work "just to make sure everything is ok" (because who wouldn't want a check for $20K).

Elite Pipe MD was the ONLY company that fully admitted that there was nothing wrong with the pipe and that any proposed work from other companies is unnecessary.

I ALMOST wish there was an issue with my sewer line just so I could give these guys the work.

If something ever goes wrong, I'm definitely coming straight here!

P.S. almost a year later they dove through their archives to resend me the report for insurance too. Just incredible folks!
