There is so much I could say about this exceptional man and pharmacist.

First of all, how many people actually end up becoming friends with their pharmacist? Probably not many. But Pouya not only earned my trust over the years—he earned my friendship as well.

What has always stood out to me most about Pouya is how genuinely passionate he is about what he does. He goes far beyond simply filling prescriptions. He takes the time to explain medications, answer questions, and make sure you understand what you are taking. More importantly, you can tell that he truly enjoys helping and educating his patients. That kind of passion is rare in any profession, and especially refreshing in pharmacy.

Years ago, Pouya was my pharmacist at the Rite Aid on Wilshire and 14th Street in Santa Monica. His customer service was consistently outstanding. Even when I didn’t need anything from the pharmacy, I would go out of my way to say hello whenever I stopped in for something else.

Then one day I went into Rite Aid and discovered that he was gone. I didn’t know his last name at the time, so I had no way of finding him. It genuinely felt like a loss because I had always appreciated our conversations and the level of care he provided.

Several years later, through a mutual friend, I found out that Pouya was opening his own independent pharmacy, Stellar Health Pharmacy, right on Wilshire in Santa Monica. I couldn’t have been happier for him.

I visited him several times while he was preparing to open and repeatedly told him that I wanted to be his very first customer—even if all I bought was a stick of gum. He remembered, and when Stellar opened, I had the honor of making the pharmacy’s very first purchase.

One of the things I appreciate most about Stellar Health Pharmacy is the accessibility and personal attention. When I have a question, I can actually reach someone who knows me and knows my medications. Pouya also provides extended phone availability, including outside normal pharmacy hours, which is an incredible level of service.

Anyone who has dealt with some of the large chain pharmacies knows how frustrating it can be to navigate automated phone systems, sit on hold, and deal with staff who are often so overworked that they simply don’t have enough time to give every patient personal attention.

Stellar Health Pharmacy is completely different.

If you miss the days when your pharmacist actually knew your name, had time to speak with you, answered your questions, and treated you like a person rather than another prescription number, I strongly encourage you to give Pouya and Stellar Health Pharmacy an opportunity to earn your business.

I am incredibly proud of Pouya for having the courage and passion to open his own independent pharmacy. I’m happy to once again call him my pharmacist—and even happier to call him my friend.

Give Stellar Health Pharmacy a chance. I think you’ll quickly understand why I followed my pharmacist instead of simply staying with a pharmacy.

I’m so happy Stellar Health Pharmacy moved into my neighborhood. The pharmacist, Pouya, is knowledgeable, diligent and honest. He goes out of his way to be helpful. It’s wonderful having a high quality, local pharmacy in the area. Stellar Health Pharmacy is a welcomed addition to the neighborhood!

If you’re sick of CVS and the big brand pharmacies that treat you like a number, come here. Pouya took great care of me - truly excellent customer service and care. Very very helpful. Highly recommend this pharmacy.

Thank you so much for your amazing service and I am glad I changed over from CVS to your amazing clean shop ! My meds were ready with no waiting in long line , no sick people standing around and coughing in my face , and Feels more like a pharmacy that people knows you by name and not just another customer! The owner cares about every client and he took his time to explain every med and he even offered to deliver it to me for next time ! Thank you for all your help !
