I can't say enough good things about Austin Abdaal (#912) from Roto-Rooter. We had a basement sewer drain back up twice in one week, and he was there for us every step of the way.
The first time, he was efficient, thorough, and took the time to walk us through exactly what he was doing — and just as importantly, explained why he wasn't doing certain things. That kind of transparency gave us real peace of mind and actually taught us a lot about our own plumbing.
When the backup returned about a week later, he came out quickly again. Rather than assuming it was the same issue, he went back and checked the pipes he'd already cleared, saw they were fine, and then methodically checked every indoor access point until he found the real problem: our sink drain was severely backed up, and our indoor cast iron pipes were on the verge of failing. He put together an excavation plan, got us scheduled within days, and was personally on site when the excavation started before heading to another job.
When the excavation team uncovered an additional issue, he called us directly and walked us through every option so we could make an informed decision. At one point we needed an electrician, which isn't a service his company offers — but within twenty minutes he'd tracked down one of their head plumbers who also does electrical work and got us taken care of. On top of all that, knowing our financial situation, he even helped absorb some of the cost.
We feel incredibly lucky to have had him working on our house. If he's the one who shows up at yours, you're in great hands.

Had a great experience using Roto-Rooter. From the time I called to the time the technician left the job it was a good and informative experience. When I called, the lady at dispatch (sorry I forgot her name) was very pleasant and quick to get a technician out. She told me who she was sending and how soon he could be at my house to help. Austin made it to my house in about an hour and was well prepared. He not only was able to advise me with his extended experience, but was very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain and show what he was doing/seeing on the job and made me feel more comfortable with the whole experience. Though it was a longer process to fix the issue, he stayed professional and worked hard. At the end he was able to recap what he found and what to expect/how to take care of the situation down the road. I was pretty down about the issue before he came, but felt relieved and well informed when he left. I made sure to get his business card because I would totally recommend Roto-Rooter and Austin to anyone. Thanks again for pushing through the heat to perform the great work you did!

Rick and Dave were a huge help! They were very pleasant to work with and make this experience go smoothly. We appreciated their time and effort to clear the drain. Would recommend using them!

There is a water leakage in the basement from the fridge are in the first floor. The guy came without a snake camera. He insisted he had to cut a opening in the drywall (which cost $337 & he won't restore the drywall). After cut the first opening, he said he still can't identify the cause so he needs to cut a 2nd opening. I refused. Later found another plumber, with a snake camera & without even use the opening he cut, it was fixed. Now I have a hole in the wall! It's very hard to believe for this kind of price ($337 to cut open a piece of drywall) the guy is not even equipped with a snake camera. It's also very hard to believe that Roto-Rooter plumber is so unprofessional. Me and all my friends certainly will not use their service in the future.

Aaron Linley provided outstanding service while completing our water heater installation, toilet flange repair, and tub & shower faucet replacement. He was punctual, professional, and extremely knowledgeable.
He took the time to clearly explain the problems we were experiencing and completed the repairs quickly and safely. Aaron paid close attention to detail, thoroughly checked his work, and made sure everything was functioning properly before leaving.
It’s rare to find someone so committed to doing the job right. I highly recommend Aaron for his professionalism, expertise, and quality workmanship.
