Scheduled a service due to several toilets appearing to be clogged at home from a 2-4 PM appointment window. Service provider finally arrived at ~5:15 to get work. The service was professional, but during the cleaning it appeared the equipment was inserted into the wrong hole above ground such that it snaked out a basement pipe causing substantial damage to the insulation and personal property.

I informed management of the issue to which I was told that they can’t be held liable due to the work contract that was signed prior to when the service began. Was offered $100 off a $500+ service, with no consideration for the home and personal property damage in addition to the time it will take me to fix this. Thoroughly disappointed.

Danny with Roto-Rooter was amazing! He came out within an hour of calling in for an emergency sewer line backup and got right to work. Service was fast and next steps in getting our basement mitigated was set up.

Danny did an excellent job clearing our sewer backup and cleaning out the drain line. He was professional, thorough, and explained what was causing the blockage and what needed to be done to fix it. The line is draining much better now, and he made sure everything was cleaned up before leaving. Really appreciated his prompt response and quality work. Highly recommend Danny for any drain or sewer issues.

Had a great experience with Roto‑Rooter for a main drain cleaning. It was urgent, as we had family arriving from out of town later that day. They showed up fast and were ready to get to work. Theo was fantastic — friendly, professional, and clearly knows his stuff. He took the extra time to explain everything in detail so I felt confident about what was happening. It’s rare to get service this thorough and this personable. Highly recommend.

I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled from start to finish. The issue is not just the original work, but the sloppy condition my yard was left in, the lack of clear post-job instructions, and the complete breakdown in communication afterward.

We spent over $11,000, and for that amount I expected much better workmanship, cleanup, and follow-through than what we received.

After the work was completed, our yard was left in poor condition. There was debris left behind, heavy pavers were not put back in place, and edging was lazily buried into the trench instead of being properly restored. It felt like the restoration portion of the job was treated as an afterthought. Those heavy pavers were effectively left for my household to deal with, which is unacceptable. I am a disabled veteran, my father is also a disabled veteran, and my mother is elderly. Leaving heavy materials displaced as though we were simply supposed to move and reset them ourselves is unreasonable and unprofessional.

We were told to wait for settling, but there were no clear instructions about what we were actually supposed to watch for, what to do next, or what Roto-Rooter would do once spring came. We had a very dry winter, so there was not the settling they seemed to be expecting. There was no meaningful follow-up about tamping things down, grading the area, or how this would be addressed once it became obvious the yard was not resolving properly on its own. We were left in the dark.

When I contacted the supervisor after the fact to explain that the yard still needed attention and that the winter conditions had not caused the expected settling, communication dropped off even further. On Tuesday, I was specifically told I would be contacted Wednesday afternoon with an ETA regarding my yard. That follow-up never happened. No call, no text, no update, nothing. Days later, I was still the one chasing answers.

That is not acceptable customer service. If a supervisor says they will follow up by a certain time, that should happen. Even if there is a delay, basic professionalism would mean giving the customer an update instead of going silent.

At this point, the problem is bigger than the yard itself. It is the combination of sloppy restoration, lack of clear guidance, lack of accountability, and poor communication after a very expensive job. We paid a substantial amount of money and still ended up with a messy, unresolved yard situation and no dependable follow-through.

Customers should not have to spend over $11,000, be left with debris, displaced pavers, buried edging, vague settling expectations, and then be ignored when they ask for updates. Based on this experience, I DO NOT recommend this company.
