After reading reviews on several different martial arts schools, I decided to enroll my 6-year-old son at SFS nearly 2 years ago. And I couldn't be happier with the decision.

Beginning with the gym itself, it is always spotless and kept in immaculate shape — even during the snowy, wet winters.

The schedule is very flexible, offering classes throughout the entire week for all age groups and levels.

Best of all, the coaches are amazing. Not only are they highly skilled in BJJ, but they're also very attentive to the children. It's not easy maintaining control over a class of 4-6 year olds, but they make it happen — teaching the kids valuable skills about martial arts and life, while also making it fun for them. They have also developed a very respectful, tight-knit community, with many of the older kids coming in to help out with the younger classes.

Big thanks to coaches Miguel, Breno, Kevin, and the rest of the crew who have made this a great experience for us. We look forward to many more years at SFS.

My son has been going to SFS Martial Arts Academy now for over a year. I have seen such improvement in his skills since starting there, we were at another academy before and weren't happy and decided to try out SFS, we have been very happy with our choice in moving to this school. The teachers are very excellent at explaining things to the kids and taking their time to correct and help them learn new moves. You can see the teachers passion with the sport and how kind and eager they are to teach the kids. I highly recommend parents try them out with their kids you will not be disappointed .

My son loves training here. The coaches are professional, competitive, and truly understand how to teach in an age-appropriate way while keeping it fun for the little ones. They instill discipline and confidence in a caring, structured environment. The parent community is also welcoming, which makes it feel like more than just a gym. We genuinely appreciate being part of this school.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about this place. My son was one of the very first kids to join and until this day we are still with them. That alone should say something.

When he first started he was 4 and now the improvement is unbelievable. They have taught him everything he needs to know and continue to guide him every step of the way. His skills have grown so much but what makes me the happiest is how much his confidence and discipline have grown too.

He loves all the coaches. Every single one of them. They are patient, supportive, and genuinely care about the kids. You can tell this is not just a job for them. They really invest in each child and it shows.

This place has become like family to us. Watching my son grow here has been such a blessing. If you are thinking about putting your child in juju, this is the place. We are so grateful and thankful for everything they have done for him.

Every class, whether for kids or adults, is structured, thoughtful, and designed to help you grow. Techniques are explained clearly for all ages, so whether your child is 6 or you’re a grown adult, you walk away learning something new every session.

The week is perfectly balanced: some days focus on learning techniques, other days are dedicated to combat and rolling, giving everyone the chance to apply what they’ve learned.

Coach Breno’s pep talks at the end of class are the cherry on top—they’re genuinely inspirational. He doesn’t just teach BJJ; he teaches life lessons, helping kids understand right from wrong, and even as an adult, I find myself influenced and motivated to be better every day.
