The room was tiny and poorly laid out. There was no dresser or chest of drawers because there was not enough room. There was no sink in the bathroom, so when we wanted to wash our hands after using the toilet, we had to go out of the bathroom, through the bedroom, and around to the sink by the doorway to the hall.
Breakfast alternatives included one naan bread item and several bagel items. However, on our first morning there were no bagels! We didn’t want naan, so we had to go down the street to a restaurant on the corner.

The hotel is situated in a great location. If you’re planning on trying to get any sleep, do not stay here. The nightclubs below are very loud. And the walls are paper thin. It’s interesting when you walk in and check in at the bar. Housekeeping never came. If you need extra things, there’s a locker on your floor. Very efficiency room vibes

My wife and I absolutely loved our stay at the Moxy Houston Downtown. First, the service was phenomenal. The staff were extremely friendly as soon as we checked in. They answered all of our questions regarding parking and provided recommendations of places to go. Secondly, the location was perfect. It’s in the heart of downtown Houston. You can walk to bars, stores, restaurants, parks, and trains. You basically do not need to drive or use ride share once you arrive. The rooms were clean and we had a great view of downtown. There is even a bar on the ground floor, which is convenient if you want to grab a drink within the hotel. The first floor also has TVs, a mechanical bull and a gift shop if it interests you. Overall, an amazing experience and we will definitely return here for our next trip to Houston.

We had a great stay at Moxy Hotels. The atmosphere was modern, fun, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The highlight of the experience was definitely Giselle at the bar. She provided outstanding customer service, had an amazing personality, and made everyone feel comfortable and taken care of. Her drinks were excellent, and her energy really added to the overall vibe of the hotel.

The staff overall was friendly, the hotel was clean, and the experience exceeded expectations. Giselle truly stood out and made our visit memorable. We will definitely be back. 5 stars.

The rooms were clean, and you can tell the hotel is older but recently remodeled. It has a fun theme and stylish decor. That said, this isn’t the best choice if you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing stay. It definitely caters to a younger, more party-oriented crowd.
There was hip-hop music playing in the lobby at all times. We heard people in the hallways until very early in the morning and didn’t get much sleep. Our room also faced a bar next door, so the noise continued late into the night.
For us, it worked since we didn’t have kids and were only staying one night. But if you’re looking for peace and quiet, this may not be the right fit. On a positive note, the receptionist was extremely friendly and welcoming, which we really appreciated.
