I was disappointed with my experience. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and to have a ticking noise inspected. I requested a conventional oil change, but synthetic oil was used instead, which increased the cost without my approval.

I was originally quoted around $800 to repair what I was told was a rear transmission solenoid. After questioning the diagnosis and looking into the issue further myself, I later received an updated quote for around $250 for a different repair. The significant change in both the diagnosis and the estimated cost left me with little confidence in the inspection.

After doing my own research, I found that the ticking noise was actually coming from the HVAC recirculation actuator behind the glove box, which matched the symptoms exactly. Since the original diagnosis didn’t seem to fit the problem, I decided to have the repair completed at another shop and cancelled my follow-up appointment.

Overall, I appreciate the staff taking the time to look at my vehicle, but the unexpected oil change charge, changing diagnosis, and inconsistent repair estimates left me disappointed with my experience.

We were from out of town visiting family but driving quite a distance somewhere after, and had an issue with the car suddenly. We go to Mufflerman in the area we're from, so it was the first place we thought of to go to in St. Thomas as well. Glad we did.They were friendly. Kevin was a great help. They were able to get us in within a good time even though they were busy, and did a great job. We were very impressed and thankful. Highly recommend.

A trustworthy, reliable shop run by great people! Kevin and the team have taken great care of my Tiguan both with routine maintenance and unexpected issues (including saving me from some spiders 🙈). They're kind, take the time to explain what's going on, and are upfront and fair about costs. Genuinely some of the best customer service I've ever received!
