We are first time client on this location and kind of unfamiliar with the process as well as running a 15’ van. However, Haji was so helpful making it a smooth process from picking up and dropping off the vehicle. He did beyond customer expectations! Also, Semina has that great customer service smile! I would definitely recommend this location!

Service Appointment – Hitch Receiver Installation
I booked my appointment for a hitch receiver installation at 11:30 a.m. and arrived 15 minutes early. Upon arrival, I was informed that my appointment had been moved to 12:00 noon because the technician would not start until then. Although I was disappointed, I agreed to wait.
At 12:00 noon, I handed over my car keys and continued waiting. After another 45 minutes, my vehicle still had not been taken in for service. When I asked for an update, I was told that the technician would not arrive until 1:00 p.m.
At no point was I notified in advance that my appointment time had been changed, nor was I informed of the additional delay. The appointment kept being moved without any communication or consideration for my time.
I work in a customer service role myself, and I understand that delays can happen. However, clear communication and respect for customers' time are essential. The lack of professionalism and communication during this experience was disappointing and unacceptable.
I hope this feedback helps improve the service experience for future customers.

I rented a truck from this U-Haul location twice and returned it to the same location both times. Both experiences were outstanding.
The staff were incredibly professional, friendly, and helpful. The check-in process took no more than three minutes, and every question I had was answered clearly and professionally.
I returned the truck after business hours, and the next morning I promptly received my receipt with no issues at all. Everything was handled perfectly. They did not charge me for a single extra mile, and there were absolutely no surprises or hidden fees.
The entire rental process was smooth, transparent, and stress-free from start to finish. I highly recommend this location and will definitely use them again in the future.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. The two girls working at the reception were very rude and came across as racist. If you don’t like your jobs, then don’t do them. When you’re dealing with customers, listen to them, acknowledge their concerns, and stop filing your nails while assisting people.
We came in as walk-ins and were turned away and told that nothing was available to rent. Later, we called the U-Haul customer service line and were informed that this location actually had multiple trucks and vans available. The lady on the phone mentioned that this was not the first time this had happened at this location.
A reservation was then made, and when we went back inside, the response we received was: “Well, you made the reservation, we don’t care.”

I recently had a great experience at U-Haul at Blackfoot Trail and would highly recommend this location to anyone needing a rental van or moving services.
From the moment I arrived, everything was already prepared and organized. Once I provided my name, the staff immediately had my reservation ready, which made the entire pickup process quick and efficient. There was no confusion or delay, and I was able to get on the road without any hassle.
What stood out the most was the level of communication and customer service. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout the entire process. They made sure I understood everything clearly and that I had exactly what I needed before leaving.
At one point, there was a concern with the van, and the team handled it immediately without any issues. They quickly provided a replacement vehicle and made sure I was taken care of right away. That level of responsiveness really shows how much they prioritize customer satisfaction.
Overall, the experience was smooth, professional, and stress-free. The staff at this location goes above and beyond to make sure everything runs properly, and their communication is excellent from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this U-Haul location for anyone looking for reliable service and a team that truly cares about helping their customers.

While the store had good stock of moving supplies, half of the prices in the store were inaccurate. Not until after we paid and I reviewed the invoice did I see the difference. When I inquired and showed the prices on the items in store, I was told those were USD. Why would a canadian store list USD prices on items, and not all, just some. Also no indication on tags stating USD. Such a scam. Sales person told us there was no manager around to help with the issues (it was a Saturday). So they did nothing to correct the discrepancy on their pricing. Garbage.

Calgary winters are messy. The truck wasn’t washed so I can’t say it was clean. The part that I questioned was the gas. It was close to 1/4 tank at pick up. We were to return it on 1/4 tank. I would have preferred full. It was very hard to estimate how much gas we would use.
The staff were friendly and helpful and it was the best possible diy move experience. We finished early and were only charged for the days we had the vehicle.

The service technician did a fantastic job setting up our truck for pickup and had the same excellent service upon return!
He made sure the truck was tidied up when we left and wasted no time checking us out! Sorry I did not catch his name but very happy he was around to take care of us! Sept 30th pick up. Oct 3rd return. Please thank him for us again!

Properly state in person and the contract as to what any and all extra surcharges would be instead of just saving the card details of whoever is paying, and just start taking whatever money they feel entitled to without even notifying the one paying. Won't refund me what was taken and not explicitly stated within any of 3 contracts looked at, nor the website. When called I was told I may have to wait upwards of 72 hours before a gm would call to speak with me.

Good location for renting. Staff is efficient and welcoming. Check in and out was easy and convent. We went contactless. They have everything you need for moving including dollies and boxes. Overall good experience.

On August 31st, I came to this U-Haul and had to wait over 30 minutes to get a truck. In the past, service here was always quick and smooth, but this time it was outrageous. The female employee (blonde) working that day was rude and extremely slow. Meanwhile, all customers were patiently waiting in silence, no one spoke to her disrespectfully — yet she allowed herself to act the opposite way, as if we all owed her something. This kind of behavior is unacceptable for a company that claims to value its customers. Everyone in line was frustrated with her attitude. Where is the manager of this location, and why is such service tolerated? Please take action and ensure this employee is trained to treat customers respectfully and professionally.

Excellent Truck Rental Experience at U-Haul – Blackfoot Trail Location
I recently rented a truck from U-Haul at the Blackfoot Trail location, and the entire experience was smooth, efficient, and professional from start to finish.
Booking was simple, and when I arrived, I was welcomed by a friendly and knowledgeable team who had everything ready to go. The check-in process was quick, and they took the time to explain everything clearly. The truck was in great condition—clean, reliable, and easy to drive, which made a busy moving day feel a lot less stressful.
We did have a bit of a hiccup and ended up needing to keep the truck for an extra day—which could have been complicated. But instead, it turned out to be one of the best parts of the experience. The male supervisor and front customer service staff went above and beyond to help us out. They were understanding, flexible, and made the extension process incredibly easy, without adding stress to an already long day.
It’s rare to find that kind of genuine customer care—they didn’t just do their jobs, they made sure we were taken care of like real people, not just another rental.

I rented a U-Hual from black foot trail.
The rental agreement was for 80km. I went over my 30 kms.
I picked up the truck with just under 3/4 of a tank of gas. When refilling the truck I over filled it bringing it past full. Spent $100 in gas. So I called them this morning to ask if they could maybe apply the extra gas amount to my overages. They told me that U-Haul is not responsible to give any refunds if you overfill your gas.
This makes me to believe that the company has been getting free gas out of customers for a long time and not having to spend money out of their own pockets. It's not easy to tell how much gas to put in a giant truck with a massive gas tank to refill the thing Plus I never saw anything in my contract that says that if I refill or overfill, I don't get a credit back. Renters beware. So in total it cost me and extra $102.67 roughly to rent a truck. Bring the grand total to $303.65.
Makes me never want to use them again. Next time I'll try enterprise trucks

Fake Pricing and hidden charges that are doubled up, I booked a 15ft Uhaul, set it up online for pick up with up without no front desk contact.
Quote online $29.95 15Ft truck
$16.59 Safemove Insurance
Total + GsT $49.09
When I got there since there was staff they said we can help said ok.
This is what the desk quoted after taking my license #
They asked how many km I said less than 50km they said ok distance charge would be $54.25 onto of the $49.09 making it $100.20.
As long as the gas was at same level that I returned with which I did 3/4 of a tank.
When I arrived back they proceeded to tell me I still owed another $29 with no explanation at all.
I took the truck with 103533km returned it with 103600 total 47km so I didn't go over the 50k which they charged me $54.24 prev.
So no need to charge more.
What they did was they charged me for the Safemove X 2 and rental charge X 2 and over charge me by 3km.
My Grand total was $135.66
The whole place seems seedy and I am now fairly concerned about them having my license # and information as I think they will prob sell that online after too if they can. Beware of this place and hidden fees. I equate them to storage contracts with all the same hidden fees or extra extortion charges upon return.

This is my preferred place to book a U-Haul. Easy to access, lots of trucks, tons of supplies, and very friendly customer service. I did a move for January and booked my truck almost last minute. I was in and out in no time flat. Recommended!

If you are going to get a hitch installed here DO NOT GO HERE I REPEAT IF YOU ARE GOING TO GET A HITCH INSTALLED STAY AWAYFROM THIS U-HAUL. absolute crap service I got my hitch installed on Saturday they messed all my break lights up there not put together back in place I will be getting the name of the people who worked on my car and making SURE they are recognized for the terrible job on my car. It looks like a 10year old put it together there’s screws that I can literally loosen screws where they did work on my car as well there are screws missing . I have pictures and videos of everything on top of wasting my time gas and messing up my car they told me they can’t help me until Tuesday that’s 3 days that snow and water could get into my car where they left it open and did not put together properly. I am now at another U-Haul location hoping they can help me I will never deal with 5519 6 st SE Calgary u Haul ever again absolutely livid with this U-Haul they never even compensated me or anything. I’ll be sure to double check the hitch before doing anything with it as to make sure that’s on properly as well heck probably not even screwed on properly either what a joke !!

Called ahead of time to question the drop off process whomever we spoke to said that the manager michelle would be around that she could help us with our question we had about the extra KMs we paid for and or thought we paid for this is where the misunderstanding an everything went wrong happens. We got there an instantly my fiancee was met with attitude about the kms she refused to show us just insisted we had to pay more there was a miscommunication somewhere but again wasn't giving a solution to help us at all just kept demanding payment . When I walked I was greeted with snarky looks an bad vibes all 3 ladies behind the desk were giving my man attitude so I obviously was not please as his woman I stepped in to speak on his behalf as he was getting upset an I was met with the same attitude he was getting . I asked them to call the manager multiple times so did he prior to me an they just kept refusing at that point I started recording the altercation The 3 woman at the front desk that were very disrespectful to my fiancee an myself the attitude snarky behavior and comments . telling me you are going to charge my visa just to piss me off then laughing about it in my face , refusing to resolve the issue just because you can doesn't make it right! swearing an speaking in another language about me laughing at me an just being straight up taking advantage of the situation because you guys all work an because you didn't like getting called out for your behavior!!! Absolutely 0 stars for your disgusting behavior ! Happy holidays to us I guess ! The money wasn't the point it was the principal of things knowing that it was miscommunication an that you could fix the issue by calling your manager an refusing to do so is wrong an purposely charging my visa after the fact is wrong I will be disputing this .

They forgot the blankets and then i downsized the truck and they didnt refund me the difference, then said i owed them 10 dollars .
The truck they gave me had no fuel in it and sounded like it was going to die on the road.
Lady at the til took forever and was not letting me know what was going on, and the line was getting longer behind me. Felt like a scam,

My U-Haul’s headlight was not working. I didn’t check it because I rented it during the day but it had gotten dark during my return drive. The branch was unapologetic and made no adjustment to the billing despite everything I said about endangering others and risking a fine.

Picked up a 20ft truck for an in city move in November - so snowy & cold. Trucks are not well equipped (no snow tires) for winter and you are only provided with just enough fuel (1/8th tank) to just get to a gas station. Risky in poor weather conditions. Staff were nice and truck was ready as expected.

I made a reservation for Monday morning and needed to change it. I called at 4:00pm on Sunday and was put in hold. I waited 20 minutes and then tried to make change on the app. I could not do it there so then I phoned back at 4:30. Again out on hold. I waited on hold until 5:10. Now the office is closed. If you have staff at your location and they outright refuse to help your customers and just put them on hold until the office closes you really need to address that.
