The pancakes were every bit as good as people say. Soft, fluffy, and topped with fresh blueberries and a rich blueberry compote that wasn't overly sweet. Everything tasted fresh, and the presentation was beautiful without feeling overdone. The service was efficient even though the restaurant was busy, and the atmosphere was lively without being too loud. If you're planning brunch in Toronto, this is definitely a place to consider.

The pancakes here are absolutely awesomeâeasily some of the best Iâve had. Theyâre incredibly fluffy, soft, and fresh, with a warm, biscuity texture that makes every bite feel comforting and satisfying. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into making them.
On top of the amazing food, the service was outstandingâfriendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The patio is also a huge bonus, especially because itâs dog-friendly. They donât just allow dogsâthey welcome them with treats, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Highly recommend this place if youâre looking for great pancakes and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere!

We had a great experience overall at Mildredâs. We ordered the Avocado Veda and the Blueberry Pancakes, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The food was fresh, flavorful, and definitely lived up to the restaurantâs reputation.
The only reason Iâm giving 3 stars instead of 5 is because of the hot sauce charge. When ordering, we asked for a side of hot sauce, but after finishing our meal, we realized the Avocado Veda already comes with its own hot sauce. When the bill arrived, we noticed an additional $2 charge for the extra hot sauce.
To be clear, this isnât about the $2, itâs about the principle and transparency. It would have been appreciated if the server had mentioned there was an extra charge for an additional side of hot sauce, or simply let us know that the dish already comes with hot sauce and asked whether we still wanted an extra serving. That small conversation would have prevented any confusion or surprise when the bill arrived.
Overall, the food was fantastic, and weâd happily come back. I just hope this feedback helps improve the dining experience for future guests.

Popular brunch place in Liberty Village!! Be prepared to wait, we walked around. Atmosphere was nice and food was good, portions on European side, coffer was exceptional! Our server was very pleasant, hostess seamed too, but she didn't call us earlier for the table as promised, even though there were 3 tabled for two empty. Nevermind we were catching up with friend and it didn't ruin the experience...

Finally made it to Mildred's Temple Kitchen and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The pancakes are incredible and 100% worth all the praise they get â fluffy, rich, and honestly some of the best Iâve had. The avocado toast was also delicious, super fresh and very filling.
One of my favorite parts was the bottomless coffee, which made the whole brunch experience even better. The waitress and staff were all so friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We came with our dog and were able to enjoy the patio on a beautiful weather day, which made it even more perfect.
The only downside was the wait time â we arrived around 11am and waited about 30 minutes for a table â but honestly, after eating there, I can see why itâs so popular. Overall, definitely recommend coming here if youâre looking for an amazing brunch spot in Toronto.

Pancakes were absolutely delicious fluffy, perfectly cooked, and full of great flavor. The turmeric latte was also a standout: rich, cozy, and not overly sweet at all.
Service was a bit slow, but itâs easy to see why, this place was packed and we still managed to get in after about an hour. Overall, a wonderful experience and definitely worth a 5-star visit!

Went brunch hopping and their pancakes stood out amongst the other places we went to đŤ
Their kale Caesar salad with chicken was also AMAZING! Everyone should try it. It was a wonderful surprise. Great take on a Caesar salad!! Kale was fresh and had a nice bite.

I have been dining at Mildred's Temple Kitchen on and off for years, and it consistently remains a fantastic brunch spot. The service is always great, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming.
The dining room itself is clean, bright, and spacious, making for a really comfortable environment to sit down and enjoy a meal.
The Food
While I have had other dishes here over the yearsâlike their omelettes and various breakfast plates, which always perfectly satisfy my cravingsâtheir pancakes are the absolute go-to.
Mrs. Biederhof's Wild Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes (9/10):
These are a must-order. They are buttery, fluffy, and absolutely delicious, with a consistently excellent texture. The whipped butter is a great touch that adds a wonderful richness, and the wild blueberries provide a nice, semi-sweet flavour. One thing to note is that the portion is huge, so if you are planning to share, it is a very good idea.
Overall, Mildredâs Temple Kitchen is a top-tier brunch destination. With great staff, a wonderful atmosphere, and food that never disappoints, it is a spot I will happily continue to frequent.

For the weekend, opening at 9 am seems a bit late, but we planned to arrive 10 before they opened as we heard the lines start early and we were right! Service and atmosphere was nice and food came out almost immediately. I might be one of the few, but I am really not a fan of "biscuit" like pancakes but there is enough on the menu that you will not go hungry.

I visited Mildredâs Temple Kitchen after seeing their famous blueberry pancakes all over TikTok, and they definitely lived up to the hype. Iâm very glad they offer the option to order just one pancake, because I definitely wouldnât have finished three! The pancake was light, fluffy, and really flavorful, especially with the cream and blueberries.
I also ordered the gingerbread latte. The drink itself was very good and I enjoyed the flavor, but I probably could have done without the cookie crumbs on top. They looked nice for presentation, but the texture wasnât ideal while actually drinking it.
The ambience was lovely and the service was great. Since I was dining alone, I was seated right away, which I really appreciated. Overall, a really enjoyable visit.

Iâm a wedding photographer, and I genuinely love photographing weddings at Mildredâs Temple Kitchen. Hereâs why. The atmosphere: if you want a wedding that feels more like an incredible dinner party than a formal ballroom event, this place delivers. The food is outstanding. And yes, that matters. Guests remember great food. The location: right in the heart of Liberty Village. Brick walls, industrial textures, and urban backdrops = endless photo opportunities within a short walk.
The wedding coordination team is next level.
Michael, who leads the coordination, is always calm, organized, and genuinely kind. Things run smoothly. And always with a smile.
If youâre looking for a Toronto wedding venue that feels casual but intentional, stylish but not stiff, Mildredâs Temple Kitchen is a fantastic choice. I highly recommend it to couples who want a relaxed, beautifully run wedding with amazing food and great energy.

My friend and I visited on a Saturday and we were met with a long line of guests waiting to dine in. The restaurant does not take reservations on weekends, but since there were only two of us, we were able to get bar seating within 10 minutes.
The service was great. Our waitress thoroughly explained the menu including allergy considerations and popular items. We ordered The Shak, the wild blueberry buttermilk pancakes, and a scone and biscuit served with jam. The main dishes were served fresh and warm.
However the shakshuka did not fully match the menu description. The pita bread was split in half, which felt cheap and the dish was heavily tomato based. It could have benefited from a better egg and tomato ratio, and the feta was placed in dollops rather than evenly distributed. Overall, I would rate this dish a 6/10.
The pancakes were enjoyable but quite thick, and I would not consider them the best pancakes in Toronto. The blueberry flavour was subtle, while the maple syrup was nicely sweet and the whipped cream was excellent. Giving them a rating of 7/10.
Service was great and wait time for food was reasonable. While it was worth trying, I don't believe I would return.

I had been eyeing them and finally got to try. The restaurant is airy, modern, and beautiful with an open concept kitchen. Food is delicious and worth the price for the amount of meat/protein. Both salmon and steak sandwiches are mildly seasoned but cooked well with the right texture. Iâm happy that they have the mini version of their famous blueberry pancake as we prefer savoury main dishes. The pancake is balanced between fluffy and dense; and blueberry sauce is beautiful. The wait time for the weekend would be 30-60 mins.

Above & Beyond Hospitality at Mildredâs!
I had the most incredible experience at Mildredâs and cannot say enough good things about their hospitality. I was running late to meet my friends, and not only did they still welcome me in â they generously offered to keep the kitchen open a little longer for me. That alone speaks volumes about their care and professionalism.
To top off an already amazing day, they surprised us with free scones at the end of the day, which was such a thoughtful and kind gesture. And let me just say â their gin apple cider is hands down the best Iâve ever had. Absolutely delicious. It hits all right spots!
From outstanding service to warm, genuine kindness, Mildredâs goes above and beyond. I will absolutely be back and recommending this gem to everyone I know!
