I met Dr Angela Asbury and her vet tech, Signe Corbin, for the first time today and was totally impressed. My 8 month old Maltese had an appointment for a spay consult. This is my third Maltese and I have done significant amounts of research regarding all issues Maltese. They were inordinately informative and helpful ….addressing aspects of all my questions with new information. They did a thorough oral exam and Dr Asbury confirmed that my pup should keep her canine dentist appointment prior to her spaying. They were able to very efficiently get blood drawn and schedule the surgery. Pre-surgical and post surgical issues were clearly discussed and appropriate products recommended. In addition, these ladies are a lot of fun!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Angela at Westlake Animal Hospital. She helped me navigate the entire process of importing my dog, Boots, from the United States to Singapore, which, as anyone who has done international pet relocation knows, is an incredibly complex and stressful process.

From start to finish, Angela kept me updated at every single step. She coordinated seamlessly with the agent I had hired to transport Boots, making sure everyone was on the same page so nothing fell through the cracks. What truly set her apart was her dedication: five days before the export, she came in on her day off just to make sure all of my paperwork was in order.

That kind of above-and-beyond commitment is rare. Boots made it to Singapore safely, and I truly believe that was in large part thanks to Angela's meticulous care and genuine investment in our situation. If you're looking for someone you can trust with your pet's international travel or really anything at Westlake Animal Hospital, ask for Angela. She is absolutely exceptional.

We love Westlake Animal Hospital and they take perfect care of our dog, Louie. Louie has been sick most of his life (he has hemophilia) so its important that his care team have knowledge and background on his history and condition. They show so much concern and care and they make us feel like family!

Special shoutouts:

Dr. Asbury - for following his case all of these years and being the best vet.

Signe - for being the only person who can trim his nails and always fitting us in and answering our calls

Barbarita - for being the best at his allergy shots and making sure they dont cause a bleed.

Thank you a million times!

Angela Conrad and Westlake Animal Hospital are AMAZING! We are relocating from Austin to the UK and needed guidance, plus a vet who could help with our animals' health certificates. It's a confusing and expensive process, but Angela went above and beyond to allay our fears and make sure every piece of paperwork was in order for both European and UK border controls. We had ZERO problems with the paperwork or the chips — everything was smooth sailing.

Angela was a godsend. Our original vet had quoted us a sky-high fee for all three cats, and only for European travel — which would have left us scrambling to arrange the UK certificates through yet another vet. When I posted in a Facebook group asking for advice about those fees, Angela and others piped up, and I'm so glad they did.

Angela saved us a great deal of stress and aggravation and made the whole process genuinely stress-free. My only regret is that I didn't find Westlake Animal Hospital sooner during our years in Austin. The compassionate, detail-oriented care here is top-notch — highly recommend!

I’ve been bringing my two pugs to WLAH for four years, and my recent visit with Dr. John Unflat and vet tech Brit was easily one of the best yet! It was incredibly fun, informative, and detail-oriented. I walked away learning things about my dogs I’d never even considered, and felt completely confident in the preventive care direction they set for us. The entire staff was welcoming and friendly from start to finish. I genuinely look forward to our next visit!
