I purchased a used 2011 F-150 Ecoboost Lariat from Hallmark Ford Sales Ltd in Surrey BC on August 26th 2014.

Less than 24 hours after vehicle delivery the vehicle was exhibiting a very loud rattling noise on a cold startup.

After a month of going back and forth with Ford Canada, Hallmark and another Ford dealer the conclusion is that they know there is a problem but there is currently no fix from Ford engineering.

Too bad for me since I am paying for the truck and know it has a problem, Ford knows it has a problem and Hallmark knows it has a problem. Because Hallmark Ford doesn't want to eat the cost of repairs they must wait for Ford Canada to approve the repairs.

The problem with that approach is Ford Canada won't do anything until the engine blows. And it's actually happened in some of these cases. I cannot drive this truck as a truck knowing there is an issue with it's timing chain.

It's buyer beware when buying used from Hallmark Ford.
