I think the biggest thing is being able to see things from more than one viewpoint and having the ability to conceptualize what sort of result is going to take place from the surgery or work that you'll be accomplishing. And it's that transformative process that makes plastic surgery, in my opinion, very special.

When they first come, it's a very scary process. I'm often the last person they meet. They've met with the breast surgeon, sometimes the oncologist, maybe even the radiation oncologist but most women say I'm kind of the bright light at the end of the tunnel that can help restore them back to the person they were before.
