Dr. Ahmed Alkaliby, MD, specializes in vitreoretinal diseases management, encompassing age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. A highly accomplished surgeon, Dr. Alkaliby has authored numerous books on retinal surgery and vitreoretinal topics. He's an ophthalmology journal peer reviewer and a visiting professor at various national and international universities, sharing insights on ocular oncology, uveitis, and macular disease, among other topics.

Dr. Nelsen obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois Medical School. He completed a rotating internship at Milwaukee County Hospital, and a residency in ophthalmology at Northwestern University Medical Center. Dr. Nelsen completed his retina fellowship at Albany Medical College. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Michael R. Petersen, M.D., Ph.D., received his Medical Degree from University of Miami after completing his Ph.D. in Psychobiology at University of Michigan. Dr. Petersen received subspecialty training in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at University of Washington and is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
