I've always been interested in health and healing, and I come from a medical family. I picked up a lot just by listening to my relatives. Women's health and oncology is my main interest. You have to connect with patients and families, and you need to be honest with them. It's part of the Mercy values of service and dignity.

I?ve lived in Springfield my whole life and I?ve seen Mercy?s compassion and community focus. That?s why I chose to work here. Mercy?s 65 Prime+ provides emotional, social and psychological care in addition to physical care. When you do that, patients trust you. That?s the most gratifying part. It's rewarding to see seniors improve their health and quality of life.

I enjoy getting to know my patients as people. I make a point of sitting down with them and treating them like friends. It's important that patients trust me and feel they can share anything. There will never be any judgment. Knowing that I'm helping someone physically, mentally and emotionally is very gratifying.

I enjoy getting to know my patients and building relationships with them. I just love working with seniors. They have a lot of life experiences, and they've done so much to get us where we are today. I want to give back to them so they can have enjoyable lives.
