I work collaboratively and flexibly with patients to help them make the changes they want in their lives. My approach is influenced by patient preferences and goals, as well as the particular problem at hand.

Each patient is an expert on their own experience, and every patient has their own unique needs and cultural frame of reference, I work jointly with the patient to develop manageable treatment goals.

The patient should be in partnership with their care providers. Healing occurs when the patient and provider listen carefully to one another, keep an open mind, and work together toward the same goal.

I believe that the competence to solve our problems lies within all of us. At times of stress, however, we can lose track of those strengths and that's when therapy can be helpful. A therapist can help remind you of your strengths, and provide some tools to access them.
