I sat down with Shakhari Jones to discuss financial options. She was very patient, knowledgeable and understanding. She helped me navigate through the systems to find financial options that were extremely beneficial to my specific situation. She took the time to sit down and discuss with me what my needs were and recommended products that were best suited to fit those needs. She sat with me for over 2 hours and answered any and all questions that I had and helped me to navigate through these processes which allowed me to save thousands of dollars in interest fees. Her kindness and professionalism and her knowledge of available programs was a lifesaver to me today, but even more importantly, the patience that she extended to me solidified my loyalty to this credit Union. The experience that I had in the branch with her today is one of the many reasons why not only do I use Genisys for all of my banking needs but why I recommend them to my friends and family as well.

I had the lovely pleasure of working with Shakhari at the royal oak location. She was actually the first person to assist me. She helped me open up my account with Genisys and she also helped me woth an auto loan. She was professional and made me feel comfortable talking to her. She explained in deep detail everything I needed to know about my auto and also answered the many questions I asked. She is one of my favorites and she's very sweet. She gave me a great first impression on the genisys crew. I have referred many people due to my wonderful encounter with her.

I called Genisys Credit Union to follow up on an issue, and I spoke to a person by the name of Alethea. She was genuinely concerned about some overdraft issues I was having and immediately tried to problem solve. I was having an awful day and she not only helped me she provided a solution I didn't even inquire about. I was able to get a 12-month loan with no credit check. I qualified and didn't realize the benefit until I spoke to her. My loan was approved at an affordable rate and I needed the assistance. Im so glad I called and was able to speak to this person. She acknowledged I was a long term member and she really helped me.

Genisys has always had great service, you are just not an account number.

Miral Patel went over & beyond, at least as compared to banks I've had accounts with but probably her MO, in helping us put together a loan for an out-of-town vehicle purchase.

I worked with Shakhari and she is AMAZING!! The underwriters had questions and follow up with me to setup my loan and she was so helpful in helping me get the right documents to the right people. From when I submitted everything, she got it taken care of in less than a day!

Ken always has a big smile for me when I come in. I tend to be a chatty goof, and he always lets me "entertain" him with my stories. Ken is very amiable and handles my needs promptly and efficiently. Also, Genisys runs some great CD specials that cannot be matched.

My credit union merged with zeal and I had such a horrible experience transferring my accounts with no help from the staff so I decided to look for a credit union with good customer service. Genisys CU did not disappoint. I was able to speak with an actual person when I had questions. Reps have been knowledgeable and courteous

I came into the office to get a letter of good standing which is a basic request. Sadly, Genisys is not able to process a lot of basic requests, maybe the limitations of a credit unit. The initial teller was very friendly. When I negotiated some type of a letter that my account was in good standing. I waiting over 15 minutes after the manager (Alerhea Jeanes) went into her office and proceeded to talk with her coworker about clothes and life in general not working on the letter, not even the audacity to close the door to act like they were having a business relevant conversation. When I watched as she finally typed the letter, I should have been waiting no more than 2 minutes. Usually the tellers and general staff are very customer service oriented, this was not a good experience.

I needed a loan rather quickly to put a roof on my mother’s home. Nick was superb throughout the process. Taking my excessive amount of calls with grace and communicating wonderfully even though I was rather persistent. He was patient and offered options and helped me to not only get the load quickly but also offer ideas to help build my credit! If you need a loan, Nick is your guy! Love my credit union!

I’ve been banking with this credit union since 2019. I recently lost my car in a crash and caught an uber to the branch to deposit a check. I deposited my check and then went to wait for my uber home. Because it was 5:30, it was time for the bank to close , and it was also rush hour, so I had to wait 15+ mins for an uber. The branch manager would not allow me to wait for my uber inside and instead made me wait 15-20 mins outside in the cold on the sidewalk. All employees were still inside closing up when my uber arrived 20 mins later, so I’m not sure why I couldn’t wait on my ride inside in the warmth. This branch is cruel and does not care about human beings.
