Went here on 6/16 for lunch. First impression stepping inside was it was hot and hard to breathe. The kitchen is partly right as you walk in so that made sense. Once stepping into the dining area it was better but still very stuffy. I got a fish sandwich and my friend got the liver and onions. My friend said his liver and onions were good. My fish was okay, it still had skin on parts of it that I had to pick out and I got the home fries on the side, which were extremely greasy and half of them were not crispy they were soggy. Upon leaving, my friend and I had one of those clipp coupons and the guy at checkout looked at it and with attitude told us he could not accept that because he doesn’t have a phone to do it on his boss has to be here to use it. We are very upset as we planned on using that as we payed online to be able to use it today. They should not be offering those if they cannot honor them! I will not be back.

The food has been out of this world. The atmosphere reminds me of my childhood. The staff members always have a smile when you enter and a warm greeting.

Was going to take my grandmother here for her birthday. Their hours for Saturday said that they close at 2:00pm. We got there at 12:45pm. and the door was locked. There wasn’t a sign on the door or any explanation as to why they locked the door. I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager. He came off as very rude. There should be a sign posted if the hours are shortened for the day. My grandmother doesn’t get around very well, and she walked a good ways to go to this place, only to find out that they locked the door!!!! We will absolutely not be going back!

I'm not sure where all these good reviews saying the food is good are coming from but I doubt it's people that have actually eaten here. We went for breakfast and it was awful. My eggs looked and tasted like they were reheated from days ago. The bacon was the same way. And my "home fries" were a mixed of cooked and raw. The restaurant is also very dirty. The walls are stained and filthy. The floors are disgusting. And there were several flies. The older woman waiting on us was nice enough but couldn't remember if she was coming or going. I will definitely never go back.

Nice that they're open now for inside dining. Haven't been for awhile, but should have! Prices are amazing compared to other places and the food was excellent! For what we'd spend at a fast food place we ate very well here. Hubby would have loved a piece of coconut cream pie, but they don't have pie yet. Service was fast and efficient. Absolutely no complaints! We'll be back soon!
Update: Have been back a couple of times in the past couple of weeks. Everything we've ordered has been very good; the service was great - our waitress was attentive, but didn't bug us when we didn't need anything. Prices are better than fast food, which still amazes me. For two meals, the total was slightly over $20, including the entree, veggie, potato and drink. Fast food doesn't compare! The only difficulty is finding a parking place...I ended up parking more than a block away, and hubby, who was meeting me there, had to park on a side street. All in all, a great place to eat.
