From the moment we walked in to the moment we sat down, each staff member was so friendly. It was my birthday last week and each person made me feel like a queen, from the hellos, and "welcome in" to the birthday card at the table and the free dessert. The food was simply amazing. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the potatoes and veggies and salads were so yummy! The beignet tree was creative, however even without the tree, the beignets were warm and so delicious, especially dipped in hot chocolate.
Thank you to the whole team for making me and my sweetheart feel like family, not just a patron and for helping to make my birthday so memorable. We will be back, bringing our friends and family to enjoy the same experience we had last week. Thank you again!

We came here last night to celebrate my daughter‘s birthday – who unfortunately passed over the rainbow bridge last year. This was Jenny’s favorite place to indulge & celebrate her special day since she’s been about 18, she turned 30 last night.

I mentioned this to the waiter, Josh, and he told me “OK let’s celebrate tonight.” He made sure we were absolutely taken care of and at the end of dinner. He even provided us with two free glasses of champagne at the end of dinner❤️

I am a vegetarian and they have a great selection of side dishes, along with the rolls that will completely fill you up if you don’t eat meat. I ordered the corn, sweet potatoes and shells and cheese. I could only eat about a quarter of each dish and they were all absolutely to die for; well seasoned, great portions and plenty to take home for later. My oldest daughter got the New York Strip; well-done, and said it was absolutely the best steak that she’s had in a very, very long time. No steak sauce or garnish needed. Her sides were the whipped potatoes, corn, & some of my shells & cheese😆

Our reservation was for 630 and at about 730 the blinds opened and it just brought in the most amazing warm afternoon glow. Everyone was happy & excited to be there and I can’t wait for our next visit. I absolutely am in love with the shells and cheese, hands-down the best macaroni and cheese I’ve had from any restaurant.

Josh, thank you & your team for taking care of us. You had a few large tables & you made sure we had everything we needed and you were very kind to us-sending you a big hug.

Made reservations for my wife and I 20th anniversary. This was our first time there and it was amazing. Our server was Dusty and she was great.
Started off with the deviled eggs. For dinner had the special steak which was a ribeye from Snake River Farms, and the crab cakes.
The steak was pricey but I think was the best we ever had. The crab cakes were also great. We got a dessert free of charge which we had packed to go. They then gave us two big scoops of gelato.
My wife and I were talking about this and honestly think it may have been the best dinning experience we’ve ever had. From service to food and everything in-between it was five stars. They were professional but yet not pretentious which is important to us. You won’t be disappointed.

Oh my gosh, haven’t been here in 7 years. Celebrating my dad’s birthday, staff made our celebration extra special with a hand written birthday card. Our server Rowna was amazing and we recommend her highly such a sweet, attentive server. Food was delicious the ambience of the dining area was so nice. It’s definitely worth the try, you won’t be sorry. From valet to the service is top notch

5-Star Review: Steak 44 Steakhouse (Scottsdale, AZ)
Arrived a bit late but was warmly greeted by “D” Deanna, at reception—her friendly smile set the perfect tone! She seated me in a cozy private spot by the fireplace while Jo stepped away. While Oscar assisted with white napkins (such a classy touch!), helped me settle in, then Kenzie delivered menus with an enthusiastic welcome, sharing appetizer highlights since it was our first visit.

Every detail dazzled: gourmet breads with garlic butter and sea salt options, incredible lobster/fried/shrimp apps, crab garlic avocado dip—pure perfection! Skipped salad for mouthwatering mains—a 16oz filet mignon (medium rare on a sizzling 500° stone, flipped to ideal doneness) and a smooth 22oz ribeye that melted like butter.

Service was next-level: Oscar and Isaac cleared plates, replaced utensils/napkins flawlessly, refilled wine (delicious Cabernet Sauvignon-Justin) and lemon water nonstop. Assist Manager Darren personally checked in—wow! To top it off, we toasted with the Oakland A’s MLB Executive /Owners/General Managers team next to us, celebrating spring training in Scottsdale.

Ended with divine butter cake and ice cream.
Unforgettable night—food, ambiance, and team were flawless! Highly recommend. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

My wife and I were blown away by this restaurant. We always try to hit a high-end steakhouse when we travel, and this one is now our all-time favorite. The decor is hip and high-energy. The place was filled and rocking on an average Monday night in early March. We each had an old fashioned (awesome) to start the night and we shared the burrata cheese appetizer. The serving was HUGE and we saved half for the next day because we didn’t want to get too full. We then shared the Caesar salad with poached egg (delicious) and a perfectly seasoned and cooked NY strip. Best steak ever — the charred exterior and perfect pink/red inside was exactly to our liking. We paired the steak with Boursin cheese whipped potatoes (best ever) and the creamed corn with the brulee sugar topping (outstanding). Our server, Jane, was a consummate professional, and her entire support team were ever attentive, without being intrusive. We were too full for dessert. But Jane wasn’t having it and brought us the house special dessert “on the house” so that we could “taste” it. This was a simply excellent meal. What it pricey? Hell, yes. But most steakhouses of this caliber are expensive. This was a “value” proposition and the overall experience made it money well-spent because we will long remember our meal at Steak 44.

This was an unreal experience! For someone who hasn’t dinned at a fine dining restaurant before, this was an exceptional experience!
We went for our anniversary and we were treated like royalty! The food was out of this world- I cannot stress how tender and high grade every steak was. It melted in your mouth. The sides come as a family style, and the appetizers were small enough that they didn’t spoil your main course.
I cannot recommend this place enough!

We chose Steak 44 for my husband’s birthday dinner, and it truly felt like a special place to celebrate. The ambiance is elegant yet comfortable, and the service throughout the evening was great and kind.

My only small concern was with my steak. I had requested it slightly more cooked than medium, but it came out quite rare in the center. I didn’t want to make a fuss during the celebration, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Overall, we had a beautiful evening and appreciated the attention to detail. We’d gladly return for another special occasion.

The Branzino fish is the best I’ve ever had. It was full of flavor and cooked to perfection! We were next to an extremely loud group, but that’s not on the restaurant. Other than that, the atmosphere, service, drinks and food were superb.

Great ambiance and excellent food. The torched scallops with caviar was a standout, and the birthday dessert was the perfect finishing touch. 10/10 experience.

This was my first time dining with steak 44. We went there to celebrate my birthday. In my many years, I've been to a significant amount of fine dining locations. However, this experience exceeded all my expectations and beyond. They took Service to a new level in the ambience and decor was absolutely on point. While, the prices are very expensive the quality is phenomenal. They even let me pick out a birthday dessert free and provided a handwritten card which was a really nice touch. If you are celebrating a special occasion or just want to experience, amazing dining I highly recommend.

Had an absolutely exquisite dining experience at Steak 44. We were a large group of 11. The service was impeccable and our waitress super attentive. I had a filet mignon and it was so delicious and cooked medium rare to perfection. The great thing about this place is that the plate they bring the steak on is like 500 degrees so it keeps your steak hot throughout. The side dishes were also outstanding. The sweet potato and corn crème brûlée sides were divine.
Overall we had an absolutely delicious meal and great dining experience. Just be warned, this restaurant is not cheap, it was about 180$ USD per person (with a couple drinks). Nonetheless would highly recommend.

The steaks are among the best I’ve ever had and I’m kind of a meat connoisseur! The seafood tower was an excellent appetizer with the Norwegian crab legs taking the spotlight! Sides were delicious and don’t forget to save room for the desserts! Also, I have a gluten allergy and there were plenty of options, even desert!

Celebrated our birthdays (Best Friends) at Steak 44! They sat us immediately and bought out personalized birthday cards! The food was amazing and the service was absolutely top notch! Our server, Amanda took great care of us. She knew the menu, and made great suggestions! I am visiting from the East Coast, and have eaten at Steak 48 in Philadelphia (which is also amazing). Steak 44’s service was just a little more welcoming and intimate. Will totally be back next time we’re in Arizona. Thanks so much, Amanda!

My wife chose this restaurant for my 65th birthday as we love their sister restaurant Dominick’s. They knew of the occasion but still put us in the busy end of a very loud side room. Feeling was this was one of the worst tables in the restaurant.

The table was very small and we were on the corner next to the menus and napkins. Throughout the evening it seemed like the employees were having a contest to see who could yell “CORNER” the loudest. Also that corner appeared to be the congregation point for the managers and employees to discuss the customers at each table! It was very tough for us to even carry on a conversation! Really didn’t want to hear what they thought of people at each table!

Our waitress was very nice and helpful! Other than the extended time to get our drinks, everything was super rushed. Our salads came immediately after ordering and our dinner arrived approximately 5-7 minutes after ordering. We had barely enough time to get the wine open! The table was so small it could barely fit our dinner! Steaks were excellent! Dessert came within a minute or two of ordering and we were done before cappuccino arrived.

As we were leaving the employees seemed to understand why I kept saying CORNER several times on the way out. They very much gave us the impression that they wanted us to leave quickly ! The entire meal took approximately an hour and 20 minutes!

Even though food was good, the experience was very disappointing, especially for the price. Will stick to Dominick’s !

Deeply Disappointed by Service and Food Quality

This was our first time visiting Steak 44, and I was highly disappointed with our experience. I had been looking forward to dining here for months based on the five-star reviews, but our meal ended in utter disappointment.

When you pay close to $500 for two people, you expect top-notch service and food unfortunately, that’s not what we received. My husband ordered the butcher’s cut of Wagyu medium, but it arrived rare (maybe medium-rare) and even contained bone shards. My lamb, ordered medium, also came out rare and with a side of asparagus I did not order (I had requested spinach).

When I mentioned the mistake, I was told they could “fix it.” I didn’t realize that meant they would take my plate with sides to the back, reheat it to 500 degrees, and return the *same food* on the *same plate.* That’s completely unsanitary. Meanwhile, my husband had to eat alone on his undercooked steak while I waited for my reheated meal.

To make matters worse, the manager, Blaze, showed no sense of customer service. When I mentioned the undercooked food and bone shards, he said, “that happens" and offered to reheat the old plate and bone shards, instead of apologizing. He offered dessert or prosecco to make up for the vegetable mix-up and undercooked food, even after I told him we don’t drink prosecco or eat dessert. I asked that he instead remove our drinks from the bill , which seemed fair, but he gave a smirk and walked away without confirming anything.

The waiter returned only to say the vegetables were comped. I had to *ask* for Blaze to come back, and when he did, his attitude was dismissive and condescending. He stated they don’t comp food or drinks even after such a poor experience. After going back and forth, he finally said, “beyond my better judgment, I’ll take the drinks off,” snatched the receipt, and walked away.

At that point, I couldn’t help but wonder if his behavior was influenced by bias. I truly hope that’s not the case, but the lack of respect and dismissive attitude made me question whether we were being treated differently being a minority.

Our total was still over $400, and though I was appalled by the service, I still tipped 20% because I refuse to be labeled as “difficult.” I just want to be treated equally and with respect.

**0 stars for Blaze’s management and for the meal he failed to rectify.**
This was our first visit — and unfortunately, it will be our last.

Ambiance & Decor: 5 stars – Luxury meets modern steakhouse. Dim lighting, light music, and the kind of vibe that makes you feel like your credit card should be wearing a tux.
Service: 5 stars – Friendly, professional, and somehow got us seated quickly on a Friday night. Valet was smooth too.
Food: 4.5 stars – Fantastic flavor, generous portions, maybe just a touch too much butter.
Drinks: 5 stars… The walnut old fashioned deserves its own applause.
Value / Overall: 4.5 stars – Pricey, yes. Worth it? Absolutely.

Final Score: 4.5 out of 5 stars
Steakhouse luxury done right so come hungry, bring a jacket, and maybe a second stomach.

Steak 44 in Scottsdale is the kind of place that makes you feel fancy the second you walk in. Low lighting, soft music, sleek everything; it’s luxury, but with personality. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, and we were seated fast even on a Friday, which felt like a small miracle. Valet parking made it even smoother.

Pro tip: it’s freezing inside. Like “wish I’d brought a throw blanket” cold. So if you’re in Arizona for the heat or someone who brings a sweater to the movies, consider yourself warned.

We split the bone-in 45-day dry-aged ribeye, which was fantastic. The flavor was perfection, but there was enough butter on that plate to open a French bakery. Still, I’d order it again, just maybe with an umbrella to handle the drizzle.

For appetizers, we asked for Chef Moroni’s potatoes, and wow was it the best decision of the night! Crispy, savory, and honestly better as a starter than as a steak side. The wedge salad (no bacon) was also a hit, and they even split it for us in the kitchen (A+ touch).

And let’s talk about that walnut old fashioned. Unexpectedly amazing. Smooth, nutty, a little sweet, and perfectly balanced. If you’re into cocktails that make you rethink your drink order, that’s the one.

All in all, Steak 44 delivers. Great food, flawless service, and an atmosphere that nails modern elegance without the pretentiousness. Definitely worth the splurge, and next time, I’m going straight for the wagyu.

Every time we go here are the service is amazing. No microaggressions just great food an exceptional service. Alex is out guy and he is amazing. Even the manager! You get what you pay for which means you will get damn good fresh food. I do not know much about the parking situation. It does look like a small lot. However, we have a Corvette so we use the valet... The boys in the valet are super sweet. So it's great service from start to finish up

Everyone we encountered expressed their appreciation for our visit and was extremely polite. Patrick, our waiter, greeted us with a warm smile and demonstrated impressive knowledge of the menu. What a beautiful place to bring friends for a wonderful dinner! We lucked out with seating right next to the kitchen, but separated by a glass wall that kept the noise to a minimum. The steaks were perfect, as expected, and my rack of lamb was delicious even if they burned the bones to the point that several fell off. I would have liked a little more cream in the creamed spinach and the corn brulee was too sweet for me, even as everyone else likes them. Manny was a very good server, witty and interactive. Overall, we were all pleased with the experience.
