Overall a very nice place to dine at. Their sushi is always fresh. One thing I’d recommend here is whatever y’all use to hold soup here, change it. Every time I’ve gotten a miso soup here it’s been barely room temp (and also a little watery.)
One thing to make sure about is if you’re changing something on your sushi roll, make sure there’s no upcharge, because they won’t tell you. I would ask them to sub sesame seeds for roe and they wouldn’t tell me it would be an add on, so I was paying 3$ extra for a roll that’s already 12-15$. I’m one of those people that are stingy on expensive addons, so I was like “HUH” when the first person in 4 visits told me about it.
I’ve been told they only set reservations for 5+ which is fine, but just know it has to be a day in advance! (Relaying since no one told me and as a former hostess, people would call to place reservations hours ahead.)
Very small parking, so be prepared to either get there early or park a bit further away.
Inside, it is very cramped and stuffy when it’s busy (which is almost all the time.)
Really like the place though. The above is just a few small cons which explains the lost star.

Best sushi in Metairie. Tried others but this is tops. Garlic salmon roll was the hit. Also, red dragon roll. Yellowtail roll was a top 5. Ramen was average. Service was steady and friendly. Be ready..."if it's too loud, you're too old" phrase applies here as trendy music plays all night.

Amazballs! This is so much more than sushi and sashimi, this is a dining experience. Each dish had so many flavor profile, we could not stop commenting to each other about them. Everything is so fresh and you can tell in the taste. This is on a whole other level for eating out. Wow!

Very happy at the fact that this place stays open till 11pm. The waitress was very nice and attentive! The calamari was very tastey and good, would definitely order again, something I order at any and every restaurant that sells it. I took 1 star away cuz I spent $80 on sushi, something I've never thought i could do (yes it was 2 of us but never before have I even come close to that amount). The sushi did taste good but was not anything extravagant for me to say it was worth $80. And the dessert, I didn't know at all what it was but wanted to taste something new, I was left very disappointed with the presentation and the flavor it being some sort of seaweed wrapped icecream.
